My Hero Academia is going incredibly strong even after almost a year since its conclusion. The series is still talked about to this day and fans are getting new content from the author every now and then, which helps keep the fandom alive and the fans on the edge of their seats. Of course, the main story of My Hero Academia has ended already, but the Hero world is here to stay and if Horikoshi wants, he can easily create a sequel story as well.
My Hero Academia: Horikoshi Reveals The Latest Class 1-A Pro Hero Rankings
Many heroes from Class 1-A made it pretty high into Japan's hero ranking. This is MHA's most recent placements for them.
Although Horikoshi hasn't announced any sequel yet, fans already know who the next protagonist should be, and it is a beloved character from the very last chapter of My Hero Academia, named Kouki Terumoto.
Horikoshi Introduces A Child Similar To Tenko Shimura In MHA
- Fans Mistook Him For Tenko Shimura
- Kouki Could Be Connected To Tenko
My Hero Academia most certainly has immense potential as a story and fans know very well that if the author wants to, he can write an absolutely brilliant sequel story for it. Although fans would love Deku to be the protagonist of the next story as well, if there ever was one, at the same time, it is widely accepted that another new and young protagonist would be fun to follow as well. After all, Shonen stories usually see teenagers as protagonists who kids can often connect with and relate to.
Don't worry, child! Grandma is here! — MHA Chapter 430
Curiously enough, Horikoshi introduced a character at the end of My Hero Academia who fits the bill. This particular character looked just like Tenko Shimura and had nobody to help him. The same grandma that ignored Tenko long ago helped this kid, and the rest became history. This kid being just like Tenko means that he most likely wants to be a Hero too, especially now that he's helped himself.
Horikoshi revealed further information about this kid, showing that he is indeed relevant, in the grand scheme of things. Horikoshi has revealed the name of his character to be Kouki Terumoto, and he is a potential candidate for the next protagonist of My Hero Academia.
Kouki Terumoto Could Be The Next Protagonist Of My Hero Academia
Kouki isn't just some random character that Horikoshi decided to include in his story. The fact that he looks just like Tenko Shimura means that his inclusion in the story in that particular manner was very much deliberate. In fact, even in terms of appearance, he looks just like Tenko. More than that, Horikoshi focusing on him enough to give the fans a name is proof that he's bound to be important.
His Quirk Is Called Darkness
Not only did Horikoshi give the fans his name, but at the same time, it was also made clear to the fans that Kouki has a powerful quirk called Darkness. What exactly this Quirk does isn't known. In My Hero Academia’s latest artwork that features 144 characters, Kouki Terumoto is also included and it seems he has black smoke emerging from his fingertips, which seems to be his ability.
My Hero Academia: Horikoshi Confirms Pro Hero Deku Is The Strongest Version Of Izuku Midoriya
Deku was strong with his quirk, but he is even stronger with his new armor in MHA.
Should Kouki be the protagonist of a potential My Hero Academia sequel, fans know that they would get a character with a brilliant story to tell, and a desire to help others. At the same time, ability-wise, his powers are astonishing, and he would definitely make for a good successor to Deku.
