This article contains spoilers from Kohei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia.
In the world of My Hero Academia, fans know that the Quirks are incredibly strong, and that they form the main power system. Introduced right at the beginning of the story, fans know very well what quirks are and what they do. Simply put, they are unique abilities that about 80% of the population is born with, and they offer various powers, with some being inherited, and others being completely unique.
My Hero Academia: Horikoshi Reveals A New Pro Hero That Surpassed Izuku Midoriya
Deku is powerful, but he has been surpassed by this one surprising pro hero in MHA after the end of the manga.
Over the years, Horikoshi introduced fans to many powerful Quirks, but the ending of My Hero Academia flipped the script spectacularly when a very unique power system was introduced, and with time, it is only going to get more prominent. This power system is technology.
Quirks Kept Evolving With Time In My Hero Academia
- Quirks Have Gotten Consistently Stronger
- The Next Generation Of Quirks Will Be Stronger
Quirks appeared in the world of My Hero Academia not too long ago, known to still be a rather recent phenomenon that shook the whole world gradually. Right now, just about everyone in the world of My Hero Academia is blessed with a Quirk, although the Quirkless do still exist. The first generation of Quirks, although impressive, wasn't as strong as the ones that exist right now, and with each passing generation, Quirks continue to get stronger. This is based on facts, and it also supports a wider idea that eventually, Quirks will grow so strong that those born with them won't be able to control them anymore, which is what will lead to the end of the world.
Regardless, it seems that humanity is far from that point right now. What's clear is that the next generation of Quirk users will be even stronger than what fans have seen in My Hero Academia so far, and that certainly makes things more exciting. But, while Quirks get stronger, so do other sources of power, such as technology, which has recently been confirmed to have made massive strides in the world.
Technology Has Reached A Whole New Level
- Hero Armors Can Compete With Quirks
- Support Equipment Is More Important Now
While Quirks are still the main power system of the My Hero Academia world, technology is making great strides with each passing day. This was stated by Horikoshi himself in the last chapter of My Hero Academia. According to him, support equipment is no longer there just for support. In fact, it is absolutely essential to have and they aid combat greatly, meaning that being a hero without them is now very hard, such is their power.
My Hero Academia: Izuku Midoriya's New Power Has Officially Been Revealed By Kohei Horikoshi
Deku has a brand new power in MHA, as revealed by the creator Horikoshi.
Most importantly, however, one can tell that technology has made massive advancements by looking at Deku. At the end of the story, Deku was given a Hero Armor by All Might, which was funded by Class 1-A. This armor is said to be far stronger than the one All Might wore against All For One, which is quite a statement, given the performance that All Might put up in the Final War.
Deku Being Number 4 Hero Means Those With The Means Can Be Dangerous
Dekh is incredibly powerful thanks to his new Hero Armor, and he can even compete with the strongest of Heroes, such as Bakugo, which is quite clear when taking a look at his No. 4 Hero rank. What's also clear, however, is that anyone with a ton of money can also gain access to such power, and if this technology becomes widespread, then My Hero Academia may have a new era where Quirks no longer dominate.
The My Hero Academia manga was concluded by the mangaka, Horikoshi, and features 431 chapters for fans to read. All these chapters can be found on Manga Plus. As for the anime, My Hero Academia Season 8 will be released on October 4, 2025. The series can be streamed on Crunchyroll.

Izuku Midoriya, nicknamed Deku, is not one of them. Deku has always idolized heroes like the number one hero, All Might, and since he was a child, he has always wanted to be a hero. However, his lack of a quirk has always held him back, but a chance encounter with All Might after discovering a classmate in danger sets Deku on the path to becoming a true hero. My Hero Academia centers around Deku and a class of heroes-in-training at UA. This school shapes young quirk users into future heroes through fake rescue missions, combat training, and other hero-tempering tasks. With young Deku inheriting the "One-For-All" quirk, he will learn what it means to be a true hero while facing off with dastardly supervillains.
