  • His suit mimics various One For All abilities, enhancing his strength.

My Hero Academia’s Final War, although incredibly exciting, saw to it that Deku lost his powers, something that he had worked incredibly hard to make his own and hone along the way.

At the end of the series, fans saw Deku lose the power of One For All, as he was dead set on beating All For One, the strongest villain in the story. In the end, Deku succeeded, but the price to pay was massive. Even though he had a few embers of the One For All within him, eventually, it all burned out and he was left quirkless once again. However, Horikoshi rectified this in a very intriguing manner. Deku gained some new and exciting powers towards the end of the story, and now, the author has revealed how some of his new powers work.

Deku Gained An Iron Suit At The End Of My Hero Academia

  • Bakugo, All Might, and The Other Students Pitched In
  • Deku Became A Hero Again

As fans know, My Hero Academia saw Deku lose his powers towards the end, and that was very painful. What was even more saddening, however, was the fact that Deku started losing contact with his friends as the story continued. He worked at UA, while his friends all worked their Hero jobs. Naturally, they drifted apart, and that was not a good sight for the fans. Thankfully, Horikoshi fixed this right at the very end of the story, where Deku met up with All Might and was presented with yet another gift.

Stand proud, young Midoriya! You earned this too. — All Might

Years ago, All Might gave Deku a piece of his hair and this led to him gaining the power of the One For All. Now, Deku gained a Hero Suit from All Might, similar to the one he used himself in the battle against All For One in the final war, only far more advanced. It was revealed to the fans that this suit was actually paid for by Bakugo in large, and the remaining students of Class 1-A, along with All Might. With this massive gift, that Deku had earned for himself, without a doubt, he ended up becoming a Hero once again, and the story got a good ending. Now, Horikoshi has focused on his new powers.

Deku Can Still Use The Vestige Powers

Deku might not have access to the One For All anymore, but it doesn't matter. His new suit gives him the power of the One For All in a different way. Here's what Horikoshi had to say about his new powers:

Question: How does the armor that Deku received from Class A function?

Horikoshi: It tries to mimic various OFA abilities, for example, it has cable extensions that function like his ability Black Whip. It also serves as a prototype where he can try to combine various abilities.

According to Horikoshi, Deku can basically use all the OFA abilities without much trouble. Black Whip isn't the only ability he can use. For instance, Deku should also be able to use stored-up energy like Fa Jin, or the power to float. There could be a radar to use a power similar to danger sense, and just a very strong strength booster to give an effect similar to the One For All.

Fans need to keep in mind that technology has come a long way since the end of the Final War. Whereas All Might's armor was greatly damaged in the battle against All For One, Deku's is still going strong and is far superior, which makes sense, since it did cost a fortune, and helped Deku become the Number 4 Hero.
