MHA's final season will feature the biggest fights in the entire series, and with its release date now edging closer, fans are wondering how many episodes the final season will be. While it isn’t officially confirmed, My Hero Academia Season 8 is rumored to have only 11 episodes, which is quite little content to look forward to.

There has been no official statement about this, but fans have quickly noticed that another anime series is scheduled in MHA’s time slot from December 20 onward. Why Is MHA’s Final Season Only 11 Episodes?

Lack of Content to Animate For The Final Season

Deku and Bakugo fighting together as allies - My Hero Academia

Fans might wonder how 11 episodes are even enough for MHA’s final season, but it all makes sense. If anything, 11 episodes is more than what some fans anticipated. Currently, the MHA manga has only 33 chapters that haven’t been adapted into the anime. With 11 episodes, that averages 3 chapters per episode, a solid number. The truth is, the anime just doesn’t have enough content to make it more than 11 episodes. There are a few battles to cover, such as:

  • All Might Vs All For One
  • Bakugo Vs All For One
  • Deku Vs Shigaraki/All For One
  • Epilogue content

Many fans would also like the epilogue animated. That is still doable, even with 11 episodes. It’s also possible that the final episode will be longer than usual as a farewell to this iconic series that will be missed by fans all around the world.
