My Hero Academia may have ended in 2025, but that doesn't mean the franchise won't be releasing any new projects. Earlier in 2025, fans were treated to MHA Vigilantes, an anime based on the spin-off of the same name.
My Hero Academia: Vigilantes was produced by Bones Film, a subsidiary of Bones, the studio responsible for the MHA anime, so fans had high hopes for it. When the anime was finally released, it received overwhelmingly positive reviews from viewers. When the first season ended, the official accounts didn't waste any time announcing the subsequent installment.

My Hero Academia Will Return One More Time In 2026
My Hero Academia Season 8 concluded in December 2025, but the anime is actually returning for one last time on May 2nd, 2026. Following the finale of Season 8, My Hero Academia announced a brand-new episode called "More" that would cover Chapter 431 of the manga.
Since both the MHA manga and anime have ended, fans can't help but wonder if 2026 is the year Horikoshi Kohei finally shares an update regarding his next project. The author previously teased that he is getting ready to work on a new project. However, he hasn't shared any further information. While most fans are eager for an announcement, they should be supportive of Horikoshi Kohei.
After all, drawing and writing a manga is exhaustive work, and years of doing it can take a toll on a person's body. So, Horikoshi Kohei shouldn't rush to get back to work. Instead, he should relax and only pick up his pen when he's ready.
My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Season 2 is available to stream on Crunchyroll.
