My Hero Academia has been blowing away thousands of fans worldwide as its final season airs, bringing the breathtaking story to a close. Izuku Midoriya's journey to becoming the world's number one hero enters its final moments as the final battle between him and Shiguraki erupts as the world watches. My Hero Academia's story has had a myriad of impactful rivalries and battles, making full use of the laundry list of quirks that have appeared.

Some of the featured quirks in the main series are some of the most dangerous and lethal abilities on the planet that don't take much to become a planetary threat. Some quirks cause endless destruction, while others are more focused and contained but just as dangerous. Here are some of the most lethal quirks in My Hero Academia, ranked.

Gearshift

An Extremely Powerful Quirk Made More Dangerous By One For All

Gearshift is the quirk belonging to the second wielder of One for All, Kudo Toshitsugu. While not witnessed in its original state, it debuted once Izuku fully unlocked One for All's capabilities and was able to commune with the past wielders of One for All. Gearshift is very much an offensive quirk that, in its base form, could increase the speed of projectiles that Kudo would fire from his gauntlet.

Over time, Gearshift evolved and can now increase the velocity of a broader range of targets, including physical strikes and secondary individuals. With a range of speeds, or "Gears," Gearshift can make a single punch as lethal as a point-blank gunshot, making it a very deadly attack for targets without the durability of Higuraki.

Blackhole

The Void That Nothing Survives

The Space Hero, Thirteen, did not appear frequently in My Hero Academia. However, her debut and significant impact were in the series, and her quirk appeared and deserves mention as it is technically the most powerful in the series. Thirteen possesses the Black Hole ability, which lives up to its name by sucking everything into a void to disappear forever.

Upon activation, Thirteen warps time and space by bringing a black hole into existence that draws in everything around it. There seems to be no upper limit to how long Thirteen can use this ability, and anything that becomes swallowed by the phenomenon disappears forever.

Explosion

A Cataclysmic Quirk That Leaves Nothing Standing

The catastrophic quirk of Katsuki Bakugo needs no introduction, as it has been a highly valued threat since its first appearance in season one of My Hero Academia. Explosions unleash massive, potent eruptions of pure force and fire, triggered by the sweat droplets Bakugo stores in his palms.

This quirk matches Bakugo's polarizing personality, which he uses in a number of ways, such as for propulsion and to clear debris from battlefields. The level of force that Bakugo's explosions can manifest seems to be enough to blow Namu apart, wash away buildings, and incinerate demon lords. Its lethal capabilities may even be on par with the fire powers of the Todoroki family.

Rewind

An Unstable Quirk That Warps Time Itself

The story behind Rewind and its owner, Eri, is one of the most tragic stories in My Hero Academia. Discovered by Izuku Midoriya in season four, Eri was a captive of her impromptu Guardian, Overhaul, who sought to make use of her quirk and subjected her to endless torture to harness it.

Rewind is a time-based power that reverses the target's state, making them younger, healing their current injuries, and forcing them to revert uncontrollably. Overhaul created an anti-quirk weapon that removed quirks from targets, making it one of the most dangerous abilities in the series.

Fire Quirk

A Dangerous Line Of Quirks That Turn Everything To Cinder

The most prominent fire quirks in My Hero Academia belong to the Todoroki family, specifically being that of Shoto, Enji, and Dabi. Throughout the entire series, the arrival of either of the fiery waves from these individuals is enough to change the course of any battle. While each flame quirk is unique to the individual, they still possess destructive power.

Endeavor's famles have been shown to incinerate Namu's completely, overpowering their regeneration. Shoto's fire, when mixed with his cold half, can produce a fusion effect. However, Dabi's flames, fueled by his rage, succeed in burning away everything in their path. There is no question that it takes a monumental force to stand against any of these fire quirks and survive.

Overhaul

Rips Apart Targets At A Biological Level

Overhaul was the main villain of My Hero Academia season four. Taking leadership in the Yakuza and manifesting a quirk-destroying weapon made Overhaul one of the most significant threats, even more so than the League of Villains.

Overhaul uses a quirk of the same name that can rearrange biomatter at the molecular level. With a single touch, Overhaul can turn a living being from whole to nothing but red mist. Overhaul was the path that allowed the creation of the Rewind bullets and inflicted unspeakable horrors on Eri in an effort to harness her quirk. While Overhaul can be used to put things back on track, there are circumstances where it has.

Decay

A Quirk That Brings The End Of All Things

Shiguraki is the final monster standing in the way of a return to peaceful life. In his march to destroy the world, he has cut down dozens who stood in his way with his Decay quirk. Decay is a highly volatile and lethal quirk that can turn something into nothing with a single touch.

Its unhindered aggression is what makes this quirk such an issue, as there is no way to prevent it once it's been inflicted. Decay became even more lethal once Shiguraki evolved, and his Decay acquired the ability to spread across a wide radius. Nothing stands against this constant infection that even took the life of Shiguraki's own family.

In My Hero Academia, some humans have superpowers called quirks. Izuku Midoriya, nicknamed Deku, is not one of them. Deku has always idolized heroes like the number one hero, All Might, and since he was a child, he has always wanted to be a hero. However, his lack of a quirk has always held him back, but a chance encounter with All Might after discovering a classmate in danger sets Deku on the path to becoming a true hero. My Hero Academia centers around Deku and a class of heroes-in-training at UA. This school shapes young quirk users into future heroes through fake rescue missions, combat training, and other hero-tempering tasks. With young Deku inheriting the "One-For-All" quirk, he will learn what it means to be a true hero while facing off with dastardly supervillains.
