The following article contains spoilers for My Hero Academia.
The My Hero Academia anime is finally coming to an end. My Hero Academia Season 8 is bound to be one of the biggest anime releases of 2025, and it will bring many intense battles and amazing moments. Studio Bones has done a fantastic job adapting the series, and there's no reason to believe that the final season will not feature top-notch animation and leave fans extremely excited.
Still, there's much more to this final arc of the story than the highly anticipated battle against All for One. Besides the culmination of the Final War, My Hero Academia Season 8 will bring many other surprises to fans, including revealing what one specific character looks like.
My Hero Academia Season 8 Just Got A Massive Update
My Hero Academia Season 8 just dropped a new visual.
My Hero Academia Season 8 Is The Final Season
- Toru Hagakure's Quirk is Invisibility, so no one knows her real looks.
- Her appearance will be revealed in Season 8.
The My Hero Academia manga concluded last year, and its ending sparked many discussions among fans. Since then, Horikoshi has added lots of new information with bonus chapters and a new databook, but some fans still feel that the ending should have been a bit different.
In any case, the ending of the story will now be adapted into the eighth and final season of the anime. It is still unclear if those bonus events will also make their way into the anime, but it would be perfect if they did.
Toru Hagakure's Real Looks Will Finally Be Revealed
While fans are eager to see the Final War Arc fully adapted into anime, there are other amazing things to happen in the final season that are not directly related to Tomura and All For One. One of them is Toru Hagakure's real appearance.
Ever since all the stuff in Gunga and Jaku... You've been down in the dumps. I mean, we all felt that way. But still... I had to wonder why you haven't smiled once since Midoriya came back to us. I was just worried...
— Toru Hagakure
Hagakure is a U.A. High School student first introduced in early chapters of the manga, but her Quirk is Invisibility. Therefore, most of the time, she is just a bunch of clothes, and no one knows what she actually looks like. But that will change in the next season, as she will finally appear without using her Quirk, and her looks will definitely surprise some fans. By the way, after graduation, Hagakure became a licensed Hero under the name Stealth Hero: Invisible Girl, and she is currently ranked 39 in the Japanese Billboard Hero Rank.
My Hero Academia Final Season to Debut in October 2025
My Hero Academia Season 8 will premiere on October 4, 2025, but it has yet to be announced how long the season will be. The production confirmed that this is the final season, so it will cover the rest of the Final War Arc and the Epilogue Arc. As mentioned before, it might also include content from bonus chapters, and it seems likely that the season will feature a few bonus scenes to add even more emotion to this final part of the story.
The season will be streamed on Crunchyroll as it airs on Japanese TV. Since Netflix Asia usually streams several major anime series, it might also be available on Netflix in select Asian countries.
Will My Hero Academia Season 8 Be Dubbed in English?
Crunchyroll dubbed all available My Hero Academia anime content, so it seems likely that the company will also provide an English dub for the final season. Furthermore, My Hero Academia episodes have generally been added with simultaneous English dubs in the latest seasons and latest series (like My Hero Academia: Vigilantes). Therefore, there is a good chance that Crunchyroll will add the English dub for the final season simultaneously to the subbed version. However, the company has yet to announce official information regarding the dubbed version.
While this will be the end of the main story, some fans speculate that Studio Bones might still produce some films and perhaps a new spin-off series based on the franchise. Given how much Horikoshi has expanded the ending after the final chapter, there seems to be a lot of room for new stories.
My Hero Academia is available to read on MANGA Plus, but only deluxe subscribers can access the entire series.

In My Hero Academia, some humans have superpowers called quirks. Izuku Midoriya, nicknamed Deku, is not one of them. Deku has always idolized heroes like the number one hero, All Might, and since he was a child, he has always wanted to be a hero. However, his lack of a quirk has always held him back, but a chance encounter with All Might after discovering a classmate in danger sets Deku on the path to becoming a true hero. My Hero Academia centers around Deku and a class of heroes-in-training at UA. This school shapes young quirk users into future heroes through fake rescue missions, combat training, and other hero-tempering tasks. With young Deku inheriting the "One-For-All" quirk, he will learn what it means to be a true hero while facing off with dastardly supervillains.
