Although the name of this global event is “World Best Hero”, fans can actually vote for any character from My Hero Academia. Be it villains like Shigaraki, family members like Fuyumi Todoroki, or even minor characters like the old news anchor with an oversized horn. In total, there are 278 characters to choose from.

This poll will happen in two stages. The first one is called the Main Stage. This is the part where 278 characters compete to get the most votes. The top three characters of this stage will compete in another set of polls called the Plus Ultra Stage. This special poll will take place between December 2, 2024 to December 3, 2024. So only a day, to determine once and for all who is the most popular character in My Hero Academia.

The character who manages to rise to the top of this extensive worldwide voting will receive a bronze statue based on a brand-new illustration by Kohei Horikoshi-sensei. So if you want your favorite character to be immortalized in a beautifully sculpted bronze statue, be sure to keep voting every day.

The midterm result of My Hero Academia: World Best Hero will be announced on September 1, 2024. The end result will be announced on December 2, 2024. In the meantime, there will be a weekly Top 20 ranking on the official website that will be updated every Monday at 12.00 AM Japan Standard Time.
