When players first arrive in the town in MySims, the mayor will approach them and go over how much it needs renovating, as it has started to look a bit run down. However, first, gamers will have to build a new home for themselves so they can get comfortable before getting to work.
The player's home is the first building they will have to make in MySims, and it can be difficult to get the hang of things at first. Thankfully, this guide walks gamers through the house-building feature in MySims so they can quickly get accustomed to it and make beautiful homes for themselves as well as their neighbors.
How to Build Your House in MySims
Players can build houses and buildings in MySims by interacting with the mailbox outside the plot. This will take them to Build Mode, and they will be able to fully edit the exterior of the building.
Similarly to Animal Crossing's exterior customizations, the outside of a house does not affect how its interior layout.
To build a house in MySims, gamers only need to use the items in the "Player's House Blocks" tab. To meet the requirements to create a house, gamers must put down a four-wall room and a door so they can get inside.
The rest of the house-building items are optional but will make it more aesthetically pleasing. If players want to improve their home, they can place decorative items and enter Paint Mode to change the color of the various objects and blocks. Therefore, they should definitely explore the other available tabs, which will allow them to paint, add exterior decor, fences, roofing, and much more.
Players can access Paint Mode in MySims by selecting the button in the top left corner of the screen or pressing down on the right analog.
Once satisfied, gamers have to press the "+" button to leave Build Mode. Players can remodel their home's exterior later on by interacting with the mailbox.
How to Decorate Your House in MySims
Players can also decorate the inside of the house in MySims. To do so, they must go inside and select the "Decorate My House" button in the bottom right corner of the screen or by pressing Y. They will be able to access their Backpack (X) and place objects that they've built or open their Household Inventory (Y) and put down items that they've received or unlocked.
