Dragon Ball

Dragon Ball is referred to as the father of Shonen, and without it, the likes of Naruto wouldn’t even exist, at least not how fans know them to be today. Dragon Ball is a worldwide phenomenon, and most would agree that its global impact is bigger than Naruto’s. Naruto was never able to outsell Dragon Ball, even though it came pretty close, and in the anime sphere, Dragon Ball still dominates. Dragon Ball’s new anime content has also been amazing, and the series has much more in store for the fans.

When it comes to amazingly written shonen series, Hunter X Hunter is a series that absolutely needs to be mentioned. Togashi is a genius when it comes to writing complicated arcs, and the story, including its power system, is always hyped to be some of the best in anime.

HxH is far from being over, and despite hiatuses slowing down the series, it has held up as one of the most popular anime and manga series ever. A HxH anime return could even break the internet.

One Piece, just like Naruto, is considered to be a part of the Big Three series that held up Shonen Jump together in the 2000s and early 2010s. While Naruto ended, One Piece is going strong as it ramps up the intensity in the Final Saga.

One Piece has proven to be the biggest manga series in the world, and its anime has drastically improved in quality in recent years. One Piece has always dominated Naruto in Japan, and at the moment, worldwide too.
