That said, the Kage aren't invincible, nor are they at the pinnacle of power in the world of Naruto. In fact, Masashi Kishimoto, the author of Naruto, has revealed quite a few characters stronger than the Kage in his story. While some are only stronger than 1 character, others far surpass the combined strength of the Five Kage. Undoubtedly, the strongest ninja whose strength surpassed the Kage is Sasuke Uchiha.

Sasuke also awakened the Rinnegan towards the end of the Naruto series, and this put him on a completely different level. Sasuke could rival Madara Uchiha in power, and after the war, he had mastered his powers to the point where he actually surpassed even Madara Uchiha in strength.

Fans must remember that a reanimated Madara was strong enough to wipe the floor with the Five Kage of the time. Sasuke, who surpasses even the Ten Tails Madara, is easily stronger, which means that his strength surpasses that of the Kage of the Naruto world as well.

Sasuke Is Stronger Than The Five Kage In Boruto

Sasuke Has Surpassed Even Naruto Uzumaki

Sasuke's only rival is Naruto Uzumaki, and fans know this well. When Naruto Uzumaki became the Hokage, at that point, Sasuke wouldn't have been stronger than the Five Kage, since he and Naruto are equals. However, right now, Sasuke is once again stronger than all the Kage in Boruto.

This is because Naruto Uzumaki lost the power of Kurama and was sealed, while Sasuke trained relentlessly during the timeskip. Even without his Rinnegan, Sasuke managed to reach a level of power where he could easily take Code's eye, who was far stronger than Jigen and had an army of Claw Grimes with him. To put that into perspective, the same Jigen was untouched in the battle against Naruto and Sasuke previously. Now, Sasuke can injure characters stronger than him. Right now in Boruto, Sasuke is definitely stronger than the Five Kage combined, even if Naruto is included in their ranks.

Undoubtedly, their power level will be balanced once again in the future, just as it always is. Naruto and Sasuke always progress together, but at the moment, it is quite clear that Sasuke has temporarily pulled ahead. For Naruto to equal Sasuke, he would first have to be freed from Daikokuten, and only then can parity be restored.
