Summary
- Mu, the Second Tsuchikage, is an underrated Kage in Naruto due to his unmatched skills and unique abilities.
- Mu's stealth and combat mastery make him undetectable and dangerous in battle, with unique jutsu like Dust Release.
- Mu deserves recognition as the strongest Iwagakure leader and shinobi, showing quick thinking and strategic leadership.
The world of Naruto is filled with talented and powerful characters, some of whom are on par with the main ones. This is especially true for the Kage, who rule shinobi villages with strength and wisdom. However, one of the village leaders, Lord Mu, is constantly overlooked when mentioned by the strongest ninja in Naruto.
This is largely because Mu only appears and shows his abilities in one battle in the series. However, there are many reasons why Mu is one of the most underrated Kage in Naruto and deserves the attention of fans.
Naruto: How Kakashi Adapted His Fighting Style After Losing the Sharingan
The loss of Kakashi's Sharingan forced him to adapt an entirely new fighting style, deeming him even stronger than before.
Mu's Unmatched Skills
One of the Strongest and Wisest Kage in History
Even though Mu received much less screen time in Naruto, it was enough to show what kind of Shinobi he is. First of all, Lord Mu is a collected and calm person holding the position of the Second Tsuchikage. His knowledge was enough to develop the village, which was always his main goal. In addition, he can certainly be called one of the most talented ninjas, as he learned and even created several impressive jutsu:
- Camouflage Technique
- Cloning Technique
- Dust Release Technique
Master of Stealth and Combat
Mu Cannot Be Noticed Until He Allows It
Another name for Lord Mu is Non-Person, received due to his unique camouflage jutsu. Using Water Release, he could become invisible and completely erase his presence. As a result, regardless of whether using visual or sensory techniques, he was undetectable.
Aside from Mu, there are only a few characters in Naruto who have similar stealth abilities, as even the Byakugan has trouble spotting the second Tsuchikage. In other words, he can destroy any target while remaining undetected, especially considering that his combat abilities are not inferior to stealth.
Lord Mu mastered Ninjutsu and could split into two in case of danger. But of course, each of the clones only has half the total strength. To top it off, the second Tsuchikage has fast reflexes and in addition, has high chakra sensitivity. Thus, he could easily avoid deadly and fast attacks, such as Naruto's Planetary Rasengan.
"I am not alone. I am two."
Naruto: The Shinobi Alliance, Explained
The Allied Shinobi Forces unite the Five Great Nations in Naruto Shippuden's Fourth Great Ninja War, battling Madara, Obito, and the Ten-Tails.
Dust Release Creator
Mu Wielded a Unique Kekkei Tota Suitable for Annihilating Anything
While most of Naruto's strongest techniques are Kekkei Genkai or combinations of multiple nature transformations using genetic abilities, Mu created something more complex and powerful, namely Kekkei Tota.
His Kekkei Tota or Dust Release technique combines Earth, Wind, and Fire Release to create a small three-dimensional object. Once launched at a target, the object would expand in size, but more importantly, it would destroying anything in its path on a molecular level.
This way Mu could easily destroy an entire battlefield in just a few seconds, making him one of the deadliest Kage in history. It is also worth noting that despite the difficulty of using Dust Release, it is possible to learn it, as the Third Tsuchikage, Onoki, did, without being related to Mu by blood.
Why Mu Deserves More Recognition
The Strongest As Iwagakure Leader and Shinobi
Aside from his combat abilities, Mu is a good strategist and leader. In life and even after, he prioritized the survival of the village over his emotions. At the same time, his quick pragmatic thinking made him a dangerous opponent on the battlefield. An example is the Fourth Shinobi World War, in which he got into the swing of things immediately after his resurrection.
In discussions of the strongest Kage or even just Shinobi in Naruto, Mu is often overlooked. However, he deserves recognition, as he achieved strength and mastery on his own, even creating a unique Dust Release technique that can destroy anything in its path.
