This article contains spoilers from the Naruto series.

The Naruto series defined an era in the early 2000s and 2010s, especially outside of Japan, where it played a significant role in making anime as mainstream as it is today. It wouldn't be a stretch to say that Naruto is one of the biggest and most influential anime of all time. But more than just doing great things for the anime industry as a whole, Naruto was a phenomenal series that fans adored for its brilliant characters, inspirational messages, and above all, for teaching them to conquer one's weaknesses.

Naruto was an absolutely amazing ride that fans will truly never forget. As with all good things, however, Naruto also came to an end. Since the Naruto series ended, a true replacement for the series has been hard to come by. Jujutsu Kaisen certainly filled the void for quite a while, and now, it has also wrapped up. That said, a new series that many have touted to be the biggest new-gen manga is now expected to get an anime adaptation, and it seems that fans will soon have their perfect Naruto replacement. This new anime is Hokazono’s Kagurabachi, and fans absolutely cannot wait to see Chihiro finally get his own anime and take the world by storm.

2026 is going to be an absolutely amazing year for anime for many reasons, but the most important of them all is that a new era of Shonen anime will officially take off. Fans are fully expecting Kagurabachi to get an anime adaptation in 2026.

Every morning, I wake up with fresh hatred in my body. — Chihiro

The series is said to be produced by Cygames Pictures, and the fact that a domain for it was recently registered means that an anime adaptation is all but confirmed. Kagurabachi, which is a touching yet chaotic story focusing on themes of vengeance, will define a new age of Shonen anime like no other series.

Kurama was Naruto's greatest power, but he lost him. Naruto's next power-up will be even greater in Boruto.

Naturally, many fans believe that Naruto already has the perfect replacement in Boruto, but that couldn't be further from the truth. While Boruto is certainly great, it is nowhere near worthy of being a good successor to Naruto, especially as far as the anime goes. Fans hope that Kagurabachi can pick up where Naruto left off and become the next big hit.

For now, no release date has been given for the Kagurabachi anime. But, the fact that the domain is already registered means that more information should be delivered soon. Fans should keep an eye out for Jump Festa 2026, which will take place in December. There, Kagurabachi could officially get its anime announcement, and then, the countdown for the 2026 Naruto replacement will officially begin.
