The Naruto series is beloved all over the world. The adventures of Naruto have resonated with many, making him one of the most recognizable and beloved characters in all of anime. Naruto went on to make history, and this series inspired countless other modern series. While the journey was absolutely phenomenal, Naruto’s story has, however, ended.
One Piece, Naruto, And 5 Other Anime That Are Leagues Above Solo Leveling
Solo Leveling is big, but not as big as these other anime series.
The series does have a sequel, called Boruto, which is labeled after Naruto's own son, but it’s not as popular as the original. That said, one new manga has the potential to replace Naruto for Shonen Jump, if given the chance and the right kind of publicity. This manga is rather new, but one that hits all the right notes that resonate within Naruto fans, and it is none other than Kagurabachi, a new series that fans have come to absolutely love.
Naruto Was One Of Shonen Jump’s Biggest Series Ever
Naruto Is Still Widely Popular, Despite Having Ended Over a Decade Ago
Naruto is a series everyone has at least heard of, even people unfamiliar with anime and manga. That’s how big the series was and how big it still is. The level of popularity Naruto reached isn’t achieved often and can only be attributed to other huge series like Dragon Ball and One Piece.
Unfortunately for the fans, Naruto ended back in 2014, which is over a decade ago. Despite that, Naruto remains a cultural phenomenon with a dedicated fanbase. Naruto is still relevant to this day, and it keeps inspiring countless new stories all over the world. Regardless, Naruto’s end was definitely a huge hit for Shonen Jump. It left an unfilled gap—until now. A new series has emerged that might be Shonen Jump’s new Naruto, and it is Kagurabachi.
Naruto’s Replacement Isn’t Boruto, But Kagurabachi
- Boruto Is Naruto’s Sequel, But Isn’t A Success
- Kagurabachi Is A Brand New Story Appealing to Readers
Many fans thought Boruto would replace Naruto. After all, the story is Naruto’s sequel, following the story of Naruto’s son, Boruto. However, Boruto isn’t at all what Naruto was, and its popularity pales in comparison. The Boruto manga only sold outstandingly when old characters, like Naruto and Sasuke, were present. Now that these characters aren’t featured as much, the manga sales are declining.
Aside from sales, the series has other issues, and based on its gradually lowering popularity, it’s not really filling the gap that Naruto left. Kagurabachi, however, is a brand-new, original series that might do the trick for Shonen Jump.
Boruto: Kishimoto Officially Confirms The Strongest Ninja In History
The strongest Ninja in the history of Boruto and Naruto has been revealed, it's a character many would expect to deserve this title.
The series has fewer than 100 chapters at the moment, but it’s widely popular and on the path to getting an anime adaptation. Kagurabachi could definitely be the new Naruto, and fans can’t wait to see what more this series has to offer.
The biggest similarities that Kagurabachi and Naruto share come from the darker themes and intense action. Kagurabachi offers terrific action, but more than that, it also offers characters that fans can't help but get attached to, and who fight with their own motivations. The fights are filled with emotion, and the goals of the protagonist resonate deep within Naruto fans. Kagurabachi also seems to have taken inspiration from Naruto on various things, and that only adds to its popularity among the fans. Once Kagurabachi gets an anime, fans can only hope that it gets propelled to the same heights as Naruto was.
