Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has introduced fans to a ton of exciting powers already, but out of everything that Kishimoto has revealed in this series so far, the most exciting of them all remains to be Baryon Mode. This power was first teased by Kishimoto during the incredible fight between Naruto Uzumaki and Isshiki Otsutsuki.
Boruto Continues To Prove Haters Wrong As The Manga Hits A New Record
Boruto's manga reaches a new milestone and proves haters wrong.
However, it only appeared in the story briefly. Since then, fans have been eagerly waiting to see Baryon Mode again, but since the price to pay for this technique was huge, they haven't been able to catch a glimpse of it so far. That said, Baryon Mode is set to return in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex and fans should prepare themselves for it.
Why Baryon Mode Will Return
- Kurama Is Already Back In Boruto
- Kurama And Himawari Have Better Synergy
When it comes to Baryon Mode, fans already know that this is a deadly power. This ability can be used by a Jinchuriki and the Tailed Beast, presumably any. However, it has only been used by Naruto Uzumaki and Kurama. Essentially, to use Baryon Mode, the chakra of both individuals is used as raw materials to give rise to a bigger and newer form of energy, similar to nuclear fusion. The resulting energy is immense, so much so that it can even surpass Otsutsuki power levels. That said, Baryon Mode comes at a huge price. The chakra of both individuals starts depleting and eventually, they both die, or at least one does, depending on whose chakra is used up more.
Come, Otsutsuki! I'll show you what true resolve is. — Naruto Uzumaki
When Kurama used Baryon Mode with Naruto, he ended up sacrificing himself. Fans saw Kurama fall in this battle, and Naruto Uzumaki was left without a Tailed Beast. However, now, it is clear in the story that Kurama is back already. Fans saw the beast return in Two Blue Vortex, and now, Himawari Uzumaki is its Jinchuriki. Despite being quite young, Himawari has excellent control over Kurama's power, but of course, she'll have to build it up over time. Eventually, Himawari Uzumaki should be able to tap into the power of Baryon Mode, just like Naruto.
Himawari Will Hit Otsutsuki Levels In Boruto
Baryon Mode Is Inevitable
Fans might be wondering why Baryon Mode should even be an option for Himawari Uzumaki. After all, using such power would basically ensure that Kurama dies and that Himawari is threatened again. However, there is a key piece of information that many fans are missing. Kurama and Himawari have a much better synergy than even Kurama and Naruto.
Our synergy is better than any previous Jinchuriki of mine! — Kurama
Boruto: Sarada Uchiha's Next Big Power-Up After Mangekyo Sharingan, Explained
Sarada has just gained a new power in Boruto, but it isn't enough. She needs more power.
This means higher chakra efficiency, which means, logically speaking, Himawari can eventually use Baryon Mode for way longer before dying. Given the overpowered nature of this technique, Baryon Mode Himawari should be able to finish off most opponents before the technique runs out, and in this way, Kishimoto can make it completely usable, instead of just a one-time thing.
Will Naruto Regain Baryon Mode?
It is highly unlikely that Naruto Uzumaki will use Baryon Mode again. Naruto isn't a Jinchuriki anymore, and even if he gets Tailed Beast chakra from the remaining Tailed Beasts, fans will likely not see him utilize the exact same ability again. For now, Himawari will be the only potential user of Baryon Mode, while Naruto will have to find different ways to get stronger.
