Danzo was the actual nemesis of Sasuke Uchiha in Naruto. It may not seem like it at first glance, but it's objectively correct. Danzo was the person responsible for the Uchiha Clan massacre, which, as readers know, was the single most traumatic experience of Sasuke's life. Danzo was wary of the threat of the Uchiha Clan, but at the same time, he craved their Kekkei Genkai. First, he went after Shisui, who planned to stop the coup d'état by himself. Danzo thought that Shisui was dangerous, so he decided to kill him and steal his eyes. Danzo wanted the power for himself, which is why he was so thorough in his approach.

After Shisui's death, Danzo knew that the only realistic option was to annihilate the Uchiha, so he coerced Itachi into slaughtering the entire clan. Sasuke was the only one who was left alive, and it was because Itachi loved his younger brother too much. The destruction of his entire clan and, above all, the murder of his parents left a gaping hole in Sasuke's life. Since he was still a kid, the incident was doubly traumatic for him. It also caused him to hate Itachi for what he had done.

Following the incident, Sasuke spent years despising Itachi. He trained hard and remained aloof so as not to be distracted by other things. Upon learning that there was still a huge gulf between Itachi and him, Sasuke left the Hidden Leaf to join Orochimaru. The once coveted Hidden Leaf ninja offered Sasuke the opportunity to grow stronger and make Itachi pay back for all he had done.

When the time came to fight, Sasuke was ready. He was willing to push himself until Itachi lay dead before him. After a long and grueling battle, Sasuke emerged as the victor. Sasuke thought that Itachi's chapter was over, and he could finally rest. But his entire world turned upside down when Obito revealed how Itachi had been used as a scapegoat by the Hidden Leaf.

Obito told Sasuke that the Hidden Leaf's higher-ups were responsible for the massacre of the Uchiha Clan and his brother's death. The news destroyed Sasuke. He couldn't believe that Itachi had been protecting him for years while also carrying the guilt of murdering the clan and their parents. All the guilt and trauma from murdering Itachi was indirectly tied to Danzo, who had forced Itachi to do so. Sasuke not only killed his older brother, but he also got rid of the person who loved him the most.

After gaining the new information, Sasuke made it his goal to wreak havoc on Danzo and the rest of the Hidden Leaf. His first target was Danzo, and he attacked him during the Five Kage Summit. In the fight, Sasuke learned the ugly truth about how Danzo had stolen the Sharingan from the dead Uchiha and implanted them into his arm. After a gruesome fight, Sasuke finally defeated Danzo and avenged his clan members. While he was successful in his endeavor, the damage caused by Danzo was irreparable. It was due to his actions that Sasuke lost his family and his friends. It was he who made Sasuke leave his village. All these reasons prove that Danzo was indeed Sasuke's biggest enemy.
