Badges are a core part of every build in NBA 2K26, so you need to make sure your player's attributes are high enough to equip the best ones. Each badge has a specific stat requirement in NBA 2K26, and you can lock yourself out of the meta if you build your character incorrectly when starting MyCareer.

You'll be able to equip some decent Badges no matter what in NBA 2K26, but knowing your desired Badges and designing your player around them is key to dominating the court. Even if you have the right attributes to equip a certain Badge, you may not be able to fully upgrade it to Hall of Fame or Legend level if you don't plan your stats out ahead of time. As long as your NBA 2K26 player meets these attribute thresholds, they'll be able to equip and upgrade the specified Badges. These dramatically increase your performance on the court, letting you shut down shooters on defense or blast past defenders on offense. Remember that your maximum attributes are determined during character creation, so make sure to plan ahead if you want to equip high-level Badges.
