Marvel Studios has prepared three movies for fans this year. They just shared a new teaser for one of the upcoming superhero flicks that fans have been looking forward to watching.

This year, fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) are treated with three superhero flicks. Anthony Mackie’s Captain America: Brave New World hit theaters in February. It received mixed reactions from critics, but the audience loved it. Two other films — Thunderbolts* and Fantastic Four: First Steps — are still on their way. A new teaser was dropped for one of the anticipated MCU tentpoles that got fans very excited.

Fantastic Four dropped four-second new footage for the upcoming movie. It features a brief scene with Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm / Human Torch, Reed Richards / Mister Fantastic, and Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm / Invisible Woman. Johnny appears to be eating cereal telling his sister Sue and brother-in-law Reed, “You’re late.” Sue appears confused and surprised with her younger brother’s statement, asking him, “What do you mean?” Apparently, Johnny just meant that they are “late for dinner” and Sue agrees, “Yes, we are.” The short scene sparks rumors among fans that it’s when Sue and Reed will be telling Johnny they are expecting their first child. Dylan, an illustrator and gamer, believed Sue reacted that way because she thought her younger brother already had an idea that she was expecting. Many shared the same thought. "She's pregnant!!" another said. Fans were thrilled with the short footage even if it did not confirm their speculations because they were certain it hinted about Sue's pregnancy in the movie.

If Fantastic Four: First Steps is to feature Sue’s pregnancy, then it would be great. This storyline is in the comics, where Sue gets pregnant with Reed’s child. The couple shares a son, Franklin Richards, and a daughter, Valeria Richards. There have been rumors suggesting that Fantastic Four will feature Franklin, one of the most powerful characters from Marvel Comics. If this is true, then Sue’s pregnancy will be included in the film. Kirby also talked about her character in the film in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. She and the director Matt Shakman discussed how superhero archetypes of women aren’t features as mothers with children. So, they might tap into it. Also, Kirby acknowledged Sue’s different roles, including being a mother. She even said she wanted her version to show Sue’s dark side — Malice. Kirby said she didn’t want to stereotype Sue as the “goody, sweet mother.”

Fans are likely right to speculate that the scene is when Sue and Reed tell Johnny about their bun in the oven. From the look of it, when Johnny tells his sister they are late, she seems to overreact. It isn't obvious, but she sounds scared or probably surprised at how her brother already knows about their big news. Sue and Reed also appear relieved at his response, and she immediately confirms that, yes, they are late for dinner.

Chances are high that the upcoming film will feature Sue's pregnancy. This is exciting because it will be the first time a Fantastic Four movie will include this story arc. In Fantastic Four (2005) Jessica Alba’s Sue is in a romantic relationship with Ioan Gruffudd’s Reed. However, there’s no mention of pregnancy or kids. The 2015 reboot features Kate Mara as Sue but focuses on their origin story and doesn’t explore family development. Sue’s pregnancy and the arrival of her children in the film make sense because Fantastic Four is Marvel’s first family. They are considered a family unit and Sue and Reed's children are part of it.
