Amusing bugs and glitches have always been the main highlight of the series, and the launch glitch in particular is making rounds in Skate 4's community. The flight or launch glitch is one of the best glitches in the game, allowing players to shoot up in the sky and land on any building they want. While the original glitch was patched out with the season 1 update, there's a new method to fly in the game. However, this method can be trickier to pull off, so brace yourselves either way.

How to Do the Skate 4 Launch Glitch in Season 1

Launch Glitch Skate 4 Season 1 Location

Skate.(Or Skate 4) originally had a flight/launch glitch that players could use to fly up into the sky and land on any building they wanted. It previously worked by launching a manual trick after putting the board on the ground and pushing the right stick down. This activated a T-pose, and doing any emote launched players into the sky.

However, after the update for season 1 dropped, the glitch was patched out of the game. This left a lot of players frustrated that they couldn't fly in Skate anymore. So, to do this new flight glitch, you'll need to reach the Hedgemont area at the designated location marked on the map.

While it's not a requirement, you can try switching your character's height to height 3 in the appearance menu in case the glitch isn't working for you.

Launch Glitch Skate 4 Season 1 Area

Once you reach the location, you'll spot a yellow bar between two ramps. The goal is to use the bar or the ramps to climb a small area just before the railing. After that, you'll need to keep dropping the board on the ledge by pressing RB on Xbox, or R1 on PlayStation controllers. Keep doing this until the two wheels of the skateboard get stuck on the ledge.

You can check out this video to see how to perform the new launch glitch in Skate. Season 1.

After the board is stuck, simply climb down the ledge, get close to the board, and jump while pressing the Y button on Xbox, or the Triangle button on PlayStation controllers. The board will unclip itself in that instance and send players straight up into the sky.

If it doesn't work the first time, just keep trying till you perfect the strategy. Since it's a glitch, it 100% works on all attempts. But if you get lucky, make sure to save your location (by holding D-Pad Up) while flying in the air so you can get back up there just by reloading that position (by pressing D-Pad Up).

You can control the flight by approaching the board from a different angle. You can also sprint before the jump to gain even more height during the flight. And that's how you'll be able to pull off the new launch glitch in Skate 4 and will be able to reach atop any building of your choice.
