LEGO has revealed a Millennium Falcon set that appears poised to become the flagship offering of its new Smart Play line, having already attracted significant collector attention. While the Smart Play platform was originally confirmed to exist in June 2024, it wasn't until January 2026 that its first globally available products were formally announced. LEGO's first Smart Play sets were unveiled in the form of three Star Wars kits: 75421 Darth Vader's TIE Fighter, 75423 Luke's Red Five X-wing, and 75427 Throne Room Duel & A-wing, priced at between $70 and $160. All three are scheduled to hit the market on March 1. In the meantime, a January 27 announcement introduced five additional Smart Play-enabled Star Wars sets, also planned to release as part of the March 2026 wave.

The five upcoming Star Wars sets are unlikely to be the last Smart Play-enabled kits released without Smart Bricks in 2026. According to one December leak from a credible source, most of the upcoming LEGO Pokemon sets with Smart Play support will also be sold without Smart Bricks. The only one currently rumored to launch with a Smart Brick is 72164 Pikachu's Training House. That set hasn't been officially announced yet, though it's been the subject of several leaks dating back to late 2025.
