Twitch officially has a new most-viewed stream of all-time on the popular Amazon-owned streaming platform, with a Spanish boxing event taking the crown with over 10 million viewers. Twitch has long stood as one of the most prominent streaming platforms on the internet, becoming a hub for streaming everything from video games and chatting streams to major sporting events. The platform has even seen major celebrities from professional athletes to T-Pain streaming on Twitch. Now, the new record for the most-viewed stream has been captured by a familiar face at the site's apex.
Spanish streamer Ibai Llanos has been no stranger to the top of the Twitch rankings throughout his streaming career. Ibai boasts an impressive count of more than 11 million subscribers on his YouTube channel, amassing a total view count topping 3 billion. The prolific Twitch streamer has even gained recognition outside the live-streaming sphere, being recognized by Forbes Spain for his huge success as a native Spanish streamer. Ibai's newest streaming event has now seen him once again topping the charts.
Twitch Making Changes to Subscriptions and Bits
Twitch announces a significant change coming to the streaming service that will impact both subscriptions and bit donations.
As reported by Dexerto, Ibai's newest "La Velada del Año" event saw the streamer once again break Twitch's record for most all-time viewers on a stream. The boxing event, featuring a variety of popular streamers duking it out in the ring, amassed a staggering 10.8 million viewers over the course of the event. La Velada del Año 5 shattered a record Ibai had set himself last year, eclipsing the 6.7 million viewers that tuned into La Velada del Año 4 in 2024. Ibai's previous boxing events also hold the third and fourth spots on Twitch's all-time rankings, with fellow Spanish streamer TheGrefg just behind.

Spanish streamers as a whole have seen a major rise in popularity on Twitch, with the previously-mentioned TheGrefg also holding two different streams in Twitch's Top 10.
Twitch has seen plenty of growth from some of the platform's previously smaller communities throughout recent years. The streaming site has seen a major boom in VTubers, with Ironmouse even previously holding the site's active subscriber record. Twitch has also seen an increase in non-English-speaking streams as a whole, with more non-English creators like Ibai and TheGrefg seeing major success on the site. Ibai's newest Twitch record adds another notch to the streamer's legacy as one of the platform's most successful creators.
