Zero Parades Gamescom Reveal Trailer

Zero Parades will see players once again entering a twisted world, as they take on the role of operant Hershel Wilk and embark on a desperate assignment that will torment Hershel with a bloody web of intrigue. As a three-way struggle for power plays out across an unforgettable city, Hershel must go up against "international bankers, foreign techno-fascists, psychic doppelgängers," and more while struggling to uncover the best path to success. Similar to the journeys taken by protagonists in films like Blade Runner, players will need to improvise, adapt, and accept failure as a tactic to learn how missteps can in fact open doors that would otherwise go unnoticed. Featuring bootleg mind erasure, psychological surrealism, and a need to cope with the terror of reality, interested fans can now wishlist Zero Parades on Steam.

While fans only got a brief glimpse at pre-alpha gameplay footage of Zero Parades in the reveal trailer, which mostly featured pre-rendered cinematic sequences, the return of an isometric perspective and familiar art style have many fans optimistic that the gameplay will be reminiscent of Disco Elysium and other mystery adventure video games. With no release date or window offered, interested fans may want to follow along for any future updates on Zero Parades.

The popularity and success of Disco Elysium left many hoping for a direct sequel, and while Zero Parades follows its own universe and timeline, many are already celebrating a return to thrilling mystery-solving with ZA/UM's newest offering. Whether Zero Parades will live up to the legacy of Disco Elysium remains to be seen, but early hype and a similar formula could prove promising for fans of the espionage genre.
