Ubisoft's Pair of Remakes May Be Launching Very Soon

Recent rumors have heavily suggested that the Prince of Persia remake will launch in January, with Ubisoft potentially shadow-dropping the game alongside its official announcement. The Assassin's Creed Black Flag remake has also already seen speculation about its release date, with an "unannounced title" planned to release near the end of the current fiscal year in March. Ubisoft has yet to confirm any new announcements or livestreams yet, though it is likely the remakes will be revealed as a pair.

Prince of Persia The Sands of Time Remake Old Visual Style

Assassin's Creed fans should have lots to look forward to from the franchise beyond its heavily-rumored remake. Ubisoft first teased Assassin's Creed Hexe as one of the next major games in 2022, said to be a "very different type of game" for the Assassin's Creed franchise. Hexe is rumored to be heavily centered around the Germanic witch trials in the 1600s, featuring a female protagonist and boasting a "dark, haunting tone" with revenge as a primary theme. Between some big remakes and exciting upcoming games, Ubisoft and Assassin's Creed look to have a big year in store for 2026.
