Due to the open-world nature of Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds, fans can spend hours on end exploring the game’s areas and finding not just cute creatures but stellar geography and architecture, making them feel as though they belong as their own character in a Ni no Kuni game. As such, players may not be surprised that the Ni no Kuni MMO has a lot of collectibles for players to discover. In this case, players can look for Golden Grove Vistas to add to their collection.
Players with a knack for exploring may find Golden Grove Vistas in Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds rather unexpected throughout their journey. However, those who want to focus precisely on looking for these Vistas may be able to find them quite efficiently if they know where to begin.
On Vistas And Chests
One of the best features of open world games is rewarding new Cross Worlds players for exploring the game’s environment, and such is the case with Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds. While the game already has a Codex system that rewards players for discovering the game’s various concepts, the game also has Vistas and Chests that offer players various things when discovered during their exploration.
What Are Chests?
Unlike the other main chests that players need to discover to complete their Codex entries, the game’s environments also offer hidden treasures in the form of extra Chests. Unlike the Codex-based chests, these particular Chests have a teal color with golden details, making them distinguished from other boxes in the game.
It helps to know that, unlike other treasures in the game, these particular Chests don’t offer extremely high-level loot. However, they can still help players in terms of progression should they find themselves in a pinch, especially when leveling up other Cross Worlds Classes in a playthrough.
What Are Vistas?
Contrary to treasure-containing Chests, Vistas in the game highlight the sheer beauty of environments in the game. These are purple pillars that players need to activate to trigger a special event. Upon doing so, the game provides players with a captivating panorama that showcases the current area in their region.
In turn, players looking for Vistas are advised to take note of locations that serve as great vantage points to showcase the full breadth of visual features in the area. These include places such as mountain summits, cliffs, and hidden areas. Unlike more active unlockables such as Cross Worlds Class Passives and other skills, these panoramas serve a more aesthetic purpose.
Where Do Players Find These?
In a general sense, players find both Vistas and Chests across the game’s various regions. Except for the starting area of Evermore, all regions in the game offer three (3) Vistas and three (3) Treasure Chests.
Thankfully, those looking for Vistas in the Golden Grove may find them much easier compared to Vistas in other areas. This is primarily due to the nature of the Golden Grove as one of the first areas players can access in the game, around the time where they’ll learn the first of their Core Abilities. In turn, looking for Vistas and Chests in the area may seem like an introductory method for players to maximize the game’s exploration opportunities.
The Golden Grove
Fans of Ni no Kuni would likely recognize the Kingdom of Evermore from the Ni no Kuni games. In the main franchise, Evermore is founded by King Evan Pettiwhisker Tildrum during the events of Ni no Kuni 2, where players experienced the journey of Evan himself. Meanwhile, Cross Worlds takes place after the events of Ni no Kuni 2, where King Lucilion Pettiwhisker Tildrum is a descendant of Evan.
In turn, the Golden Grove in Cross Worlds is located within the same area, although with a different aesthetic. Bridging the North and the South Summerlands, the Golden Grove is the player’s only way between these two areas on foot. As such, mobile Classes such as the Swordsman can enjoy fighting a multitude of enemies scattered in the area. The location is known for its calm garden-like ambiance, featuring a lot of greens and a lot of plants. Its picturesque visuals may have players want to take pictures immediately, but the game offers more beautiful views after acquiring Vistas.
Vista 1: Spring Of Life
When players enter the Golden Grove for the first time, one of the most captivating areas within their reach should be the Spring of Life. This area’s namesake is immediately apparent, being that of a small island at the center of a lake deep inside the Grove’s caverns. The area also has a tall rock formation at the center, where water flows like a fountain.
As soon as players spot the fountain, they simply need to turn left and run until they see the Vista in the vicinity.
Vista 2: Mushroom Tree
When players venture into the Strange Field, they will enter a small cavern-like area that sends them to the edge of a cliff. Beyond that cliff is a giant mushroom tree, glowing a red light that serves as illumination within the darkened cliff area. There are quite a lot of enemies here, making it an enjoyable location to fight in close range with Classes like the Destroyer.
Similar to the Vista in the Spring of Life, locating the Vista near the Mushroom is quite easy due to how the purple Vista crystal contrasts with the environment. When players spot the Mushroom Tree, they need to run up until they notice the ledge nearby. The Vista should be glowing near the area.
Vista 3: Fairy Village
It’s easy to get lulled into a distraction before reaching the Fairy Village, especially since accessing it has to do with going through a tree-dense tunnel filled with leaves, grass, plants, and other natural oddities. And then, players go out to see a marvel that is a village of houses made from trees, complete with leaf-like roofs that stretch to the skies like trees. Its aesthetic fits the like of the spellcasting Witch, whose magical nature fits right in with the fairies in the game.
By the time players access the Fairy Village, locating the Vista in the area becomes a bit tricky. In fact, players may just miss it as soon as they marvel at the beauty of the Fairy Village. This is because the Vista in this area is located just before players enter, within the tree tunnel. When players are just about to cross the threshold to the Fairy Village, the Vista should be located to the right of the exit.
Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds was released globally in 2022 for Android, iOS, and PC.
