After making your way through the werewolf-ridden town in Ninja Gaiden 2 Black's sixth chapter, you'll finally get to scale the castle and meet the King of the Lycanthropes in Chapter 7: The Lycanthropes' Castle. Picking up where the previous chapter left off, you'll once again play as Ryu Hayubasa as he continues to cut his way through countless fiends. In this guide, we'll provide a full walkthrough, including where you can find every collectible in Ninja Gaiden 2 Black's seventh chapter.

Chapter 7 Walkthrough Part 1 – Ninja Gaiden 2 Black
How to Reach the Roof:
This guide will be broken down into 'parts', with each section representing the area between save points. So, Part 1 will cover the start of Chapter 7 to the first save point.
Chapter 7 picks up exactly where NG2B Chapter 6 left off, with Ryu underwater as The Water Dragon dies. After the cutscene ends, you will have noticed that it took the time to focus on the roof of the ruins where you fought the The Water Dragon. To get to the roof, look around the structure until you find the two pillars with a broken pillar in between them. You can use the broken pillar as a base to wall jump up to the roof.
Crystal Skull 1:
Once you reach the roof, you'll see there is a Muramasa shop at the opposite end. Move forward, and take out the white fish enemies as they attack. Once they are dealt with, turn around, and you'll see the game's thirteenth Crystal Skull – the first of three found in Chapter 7 – on a ledge below the 'peak' of the rooftop. If you head to the front of the roof, at the end where the shop is found, you'll find a hidden chest sitting in a small cutout section.
Exit the Underground Cavern – Save Point 1:
Head past the Muramasa Shop to the pillars on the right, and jump across. Be careful, as more of the fish enemies will try and cling to you. Make your way all the way to the dirt path at the end of the pillars. If you turn left, you'll find a chest at a dead end that holds yellow currency orbs. Turning right will take you along the main path, where you'll face spiny snake enemies.
Be careful in this section, as there are multiple parts of the ground that will collapse, which will make you fall into the water if you get caught.
After the spiny enemies, you'll see a chest with red orbs to the left, before moving on to the top of the circular pillar structure. Make your way across the circular ruins, and watch out for more fish enemies. You'll see another chest off to the left of the pillars you jump to from the circular structure.
Follow the pillars, and you'll find the first save point in a small chamber at the end.
Chapter 7 Walkthrough Part 2 – Ninja Gaiden 2 Black
Jewel of the Demon Seal:
Chapter 7's Jewel of the Demon Seal is found right after you leave the first save point. After exiting the underground cave, you'll go through an earthen tunnel. It is very small at first, then opens up considerably. Several small, scorpion-like enemies will attack you in the tunnel. Once you deal with them, look for the dead body, which contains the jewel.
Gogmagog Boss Fight:
After exiting the dirt tunnel, you'll encounter a large pile of bones. As you climb to the top of the pile, a large number of scorpion enemies will attack. Once you defeat them all, a cutscene will automatically begin. After the scene, Gogmagog will emerge from the pile of bones.
Gogmagog is actually a fairly easy fight. Focus on its legs, and it will fall over, allowing you to do a tremendous amount of damage while it is down. However, make sure you are patient. Gogmagog can do tremendous amounts of damage if you button mash and do not employ any defensive measures. Make sure to block and dodge until you have a clear shot at the feet/legs.
New Weapon – Kusari-gama:
Once the bone pile settles after defeating Gogmagog, you'll see a newly-revealed wall-jump section that will lead you to the exit path. Make your way up the path, and after you cross the missing section by wall-running, you'll encounter the dead body that carries the Kusari-gama. Just after the dead body, make sure to collect the yellow currency orbs from the nearby chest.
Save Point 2:
Continue up the path until you reach a small chamber that contains the second save point, and a chest that contains a Herb of Spiritual Life.
Save Point 3, Muramasa Shop & Crystal Skull 2:
After the second save point, it is a short distance up the remainder of the path that leads out of the cave and onto the castle ramparts. As soon as you exit the cave, a cutscene will begin. After realizing that a worthy foe has finally arrived, Volf sends down a massive storm. After the cutscene, look for the guillotine that is right next to the cave exit.
The guillotine has a rope connected to the blade. Cut the rope and the blade will drop, revealing a hidden area below the device where Crystal Skull 14 was hiding.
After collecting the skull, you'll see that Save Point 3 is just ahead, near the door leading down a long hallway. You can go to the right of the door and head up the stairs to fight a Muramasa Shop. There is also a small tower that you can climb, with a chest that contains a large currency orb at the top.
Chapter 7 Wakthrough Part 3 – Ninja Gaiden 2 Black
Save Point 4:
After leaving the third save point, it's essentially along climb up several flights of stairs until you reach the doors of a large structure. When you approach the massive door, you discover it is locked, and there is no way to enter the building from the front. If you look to the left and right from the door, you'll see there are paths leading each way.
The path to the left quickly leads to a dead end, and a chest that contains red orbs. The path to the right leads around to the side of the building, and Save Point 4.
Enter the Cathedral:
From save point 4, climb the ladder and continue to make your way up to the rooftops. There are not any collectibles until after you reach the cathedral, so don't worry about missing anything. You will be attacked multiple times as you make your way up, so focus on the enemies.
Eventually, you'll reach an area with three long flagpoles sticking out in front of a large stained-glass window. Hang from the poles and swing from one to the next until you reach the window. Swing through the window to land in the cathedral.
You'll be attacked as soon as you land in the cathedral, so be prepared for a fight. Once the fight is complete, exit the cathedral, and you'll find a dead body in the courtyard containing Inukoma's Notebook.
Life of the Gods:
From the courtyard, enter the only available door and drop into the kitchen area. Defeat the werewolves that attack, then enter the room with barrels. Look in the rear corner, and you'll see that a chest is being blocked by two barrels. Destroy the barrels, then open the chest to collect NG2Bi's tenth Life of the Gods upgrade.
Save Point 5:
After you exit the room that contains the Life of the Gods, you'll find Save Point 5 to the right. After leaving the save point, you'll come to a large chamber with massive stairs that lead....nowhere, at least at this point. Upstairs, you'll only find a chest containing a large currency orb. Instead, when you first entered the room, a werewolf burst through a door to attack you. Go through the same door to continue along the main path.
New Weapon – Tonfa:
After the chamber with the staircase, you'll go through a dining room, then an ambush chamber, before finally reaching a large stone-tiled chamber with a massive portrait of Volf. Defeat all the enemies in the chamber, and a chest will appear beneath Volf's portrait that contains the Tonfa.
Save Point 6:
Once you collect the Tonfa, exit through the door, and you'll see that you are now back in the chamber with the large set of stairs. Now, when you climb the stairs, a large number of werewolves will burst through a door to the right. Defeat the enemies, and continue through the door to find Save Point 6 as you climb the marble stairs.
Chapter 7 Walkthrough Part 4 – Ninja Gaiden 2 Black
Crystal Skull 3:
Chapter 7's final Crystal Skull is located in the library chamber, which sits at the top of the marble stairs where Save Point 6 is located. After defeating the enemies in the library, stand with your back to the fireplace and then go attack the bookcase that is one to the left of the right corner from your vantage point. See the above image for the exact location. After attacking the shelf, the game's fifteenthCrystal Skull will appear.
Save Point 7:
After collecting the skull, head back to the fireplace, step inside, and use wall jump to make your way up the chimney to the next level. In the next chamber, defeat all the enemies, and look for the next fireplace, which you will use again the same way. This time it will lead you to the roof, where you'll see Save Point 7.
Masamura Shop 2:
From Save Point 7, use the bars to jump across the gap. Once you turn the corner after you land, you'll be attacked by several werewolves. If you need to use a Masamura Shop, don't enter the big door and go up the stairs. Go around the other side of the building, and you'll see a Masamura Shop and two chests across the gap. One chest contains a trick, as fish enemies pop out and attack you. The second chest contains red orbs.
Save Point 8:
After save-point 7, walk up the large stairs and you'll finally confront Volf. He will tell you that the throne room is not the proper battlefield, and tells you he will be at the Colosseum.
After defeating the enemies in the throne room, you will need to fall through the trap door in front of the throne. This will lead to a canal where you'll find a chest that contains blue healing orbs, and Save Point 8.
Reach the Colleseum:
Exiting the canal, you'll realize that you are back at the front of the castle, below the large door that was originally locked. Make your way down the stairs you originally came up. You'll come to a gate that is raised, and you'll notice the large bridge that was raised on your way up, has now been lowered. Cross the bridge and open the chest to collect a large yellow currency orb.
Volf Boss Fight:
When you enter the Colosseum, you'll finally get to take on Volf. The key to defeating this hulking beast is – like almost every difficult fight in the game – patience. If you are playing on the normal difficulty or higher, make sure to take your time and use the defensive options available to you. Dodge Volf's swings and you'll mitigate his power pretty quickly.
Once you defeat Volf, you'll unlock the Eclipse Scythe, which is Volf's personal weapon. Before the chapter is finished, however, you'll have to deal with a major onslaught of werewolves. Eventually, you'll be rescued by helicopter lady, which will be the official end to the chapter.
