The next Nintendo Direct will be held on September 12 at 6 AM PT, and it will reportedly cover more than one game. Rumors of a possible September Direct began as early as August, when insiders suggested Nintendo had something planned for mid-month.
Speculation about an imminent show first gained traction when content creator SwitchForce shared details about a possible Nintendo Direct in September. Their claims gained more weight after the well-known leaker NateTheHate backed them, echoing the same theories about a multi-game show in mid-September, further fueling fan excitement.

The Next Nintendo Direct Will Be on September 12
According to an early announcement on the Nintendo Today app, the next Nintendo Direct will take place on September 12 at 6 AM PT. Nintendo has confirmed on its official social media accounts that the presentation will run for 60 minutes, though the featured games have not yet been revealed. That said, a recent Nintendo Direct leak hinted that the show might include "three seven" games, meaning it could feature three titles with the word "seven" in them or games somehow tied to that number.
Some fans believe that if the recent leaks are accurate, one of the games featured in the September Nintendo Direct could be Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade. Another possibility is the upcoming 007 First Light: Specialist Edition, expected to launch on the Switch 2 in March. Of course, these are just speculations and should be taken with a grain of salt. Still, since most previous leaks about the September event have proven accurate, there's a good chance the claims about the three mysterious "seven" games could be true as well. Some fans also suggest that Pokemon Legends: Z-A could make an appearance during the show, though that seems unlikely since Nintendo usually reserves Pokemon announcements for dedicated Pokemon Presents events.
Fans are also hoping to hear more about Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, one of the most anticipated Nintendo Switch games. There's also a chance the Direct could reveal details about Nintendo's plans for the 40th anniversary of Super Mario Bros. However, NateTheHate, the leaker who accurately predicted the Switch 2 announcement date, has suggested the event may stick to game presentations and skip the anniversary content for now. It remains to be seen whether any of these speculations are accurate and what Nintendo truly has in store.
