Summary
- Nintendo Switch 2 will feature Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade.
- It's been teased that other FF7 Remake series games could come to Switch 2 as well.
- This would presumably include Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and Remake Part 3, but official plans have not been announced.
It's been teased that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth could potentially come to the Nintendo Switch 2. The Nintendo Switch 2 is less than a month away from releasing at the time of this writing, and hype for Nintendo's next-generation handheld/home console hybrid is high. Many fans are impressed by the Switch 2's upgraded hardware compared to the original Switch, but it's the console's lineup of games that really has people buzzing.
In the first year of its life, the Switch 2 will be home to high-profile exclusive games like Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, with enhanced versions of new Switch 1 games also landing on the platform, like Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and Pokemon Legends: Z-A. The Switch 2 will also see quite a few noteworthy third-party releases, including Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade.
Joy-Con 2 Controllers Could Give Switch 2 Users Some Customization Options
Ahead of the Switch 2's launch, a new retailer listing shared on social media could allow players to customize the Joy-Con 2 controllers.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade's Switch 2 port was recently discussed in a Creator's Voice video. As pointed out by Nintendo Life, Square Enix's Naoki Hamaguchi refers to the "Final Fantasy 7 Remake Series" on more than one occasion during the video. This wording suggests that not only is Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade coming to the Nintendo Switch 2, but there's a good chance that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will follow in its footsteps. With an impressive 92 overall rating, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth was one of 2024's highest-rated games, and so it would make a great addition to the Nintendo Switch 2 library.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Rumored for Switch 2
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is the second installment in the FF7 Remake series. It features massive open zones for players to explore and eye-popping visuals, all the while making smart improvements to the fast-paced combat established by Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth reviews were overwhelmingly positive, and so hopefully the game does make its way to the Nintendo Switch 2 at some point down the line.
If Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth both come to the Nintendo Switch 2, hopefully the same happens for the third game in the series. Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 has yet to get an official title or many details, but we do know that the project is in development and that it will bring the series' story to an end. Hopefully, Nintendo Switch 2 owners will be able to experience the entire saga on their console of choice.
