Summary

  • Ubisoft seems to have teased two more games for the Switch 2.
  • It's been hinted that Assassin's Creed Mirage and Rainbow Six Siege could be coming to the platform.
  • Star Wars Outlaws is confirmed for Switch 2, while Assassin's Creed Shadows is rumored as well.

It seems as though two more Ubisoft games could be making their way to the Nintendo Switch 2. Ubisoft has long been a supporter of Nintendo, releasing exclusive games on the company's consoles and launching titles on the Wii, 3DS, Wii U, and Switch on their launch days. Ubisoft will be supporting the Switch 2 as well, though not at launch.

The Nintendo Switch 2 launch titles feature games like Mario Kart World, Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour, Survival Kids, Yakuza 0: Director's Cut, and more. Ubisoft will not have any games available when the Switch 2 launches on June 5, but it has confirmed that Star Wars Outlaws will release for Switch 2 on September 4. Now it seems that two more Ubisoft games could be making their way to Nintendo's next-generation home console/handheld hybrid.

As pointed out by Stealth40k and shared by Nintendo Life, Ubisoft Brazil recently asked fans what games they would like to see on the Switch 2 using an image that showed Assassin's Creed Shadows, Star Wars Outlaws, Assassin's Creed Mirage, and Rainbow Six Siege. Star Wars Outlaws is already confirmed for the Nintendo Switch 2, while Assassin's Creed Shadows was leaked via an age rating. There have been rumors that AC Mirage and Rainbow Six Siege are Switch 2-bound, and this seems to be fairly compelling evidence that those rumors are indeed true.

For those unfamiliar with the games, Assassin's Creed Mirage is the 2023 AC game that served as a throwback of sorts to the classic games in the series, as opposed to the RPG-heavy games like Origins, Odyssey, Valhalla, and Shadows. Rainbow Six Siege, meanwhile, is a tactical multiplayer shooter game that has been one of the more popular competitive games of the last decade. Rainbow Six Siege originally launched all the way back in 2015, but the game is still going strong to this day.

In fact, Rainbow Six Siege is on the verge of a major re-brand. It's been confirmed that Rainbow Six Siege is going free-to-play in June with upgraded graphics and the new 6v6 Dual Front game mode. This new version of Rainbow Six Siege is known as Rainbow Six Siege X, and with it coming in June, it would make for a great launch window title for the Switch 2. However, potential Switch 2 early adopters should keep in mind that a port of the game has not actually been announced at the time of this writing.
