As spotted by VGC, the 'HD Rumble' feature will be quieter on the Nintendo Switch 2. Many found the feature too noisy on the original Switch, especially when used at its highest intensity during action games. In a note found on its page regarding backwards compatibility, Nintendo notes that the force feedback vibrations emitted by the Joy-Con 2 controllers will be quieter, but the company also states that the feature is more powerful overall. The controllers likely feature better casing to help mitigate some of the noise, and that isn't the only change. Players can also look forward to new mouse functionality in certain games and a dedicated GameChat button, with the controllers also magnetically attaching themselves to the console.

The HD Rumble Feature Will Be Less Noisy on the Switch 2

The Nintendo Switch 2 Dock will also see some enhancements, cooling the system based on the internal temperature of the Dock and not just the console itself. The Dock will also include two USB ports and an updated HDMI port allowing for 4K 60 Hz resolution, along with an Ethernet port allowing for a wired internet connection. For many prospective players, the system's increased storage space is the biggest blessing, with the Switch 2 including 256GB of space, eight times that found in the original console.

Players will be able to enjoy a wide array of games on the Switch 2's launch day, including the highly anticipated Mario Kart World. Other popular additions coming on June 5 include Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, Hogwarts Legacy, Split Fiction, Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD Remaster, and the Switch 2 versions of both The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.
