Nintendo eShop Launches Big Halloween 2024 Sale Early

Nintendo has kicked off its big Halloween 2024 sale early on the eShop. The newly started promotion features dozens of attractive discounts on various Switch games and DLC packs, all of which will be available until early November.

Nintendo historically held Halloween eShop sales a bit earlier than many other retailers. Back in 2023, the company's annual promotion ran from October 19 until October 31.

This time around, the 2024 edition of Nintendo's Halloween sale kicked off on Friday, October 18. It will run for two weeks straight, as it's planned to conclude on November 1, at 2:59am ET. The promotion comprises 40 deals on a wide variety of Switch games and DLC packs. The biggest price cuts have been bestowed upon Dicey Dungeons, Doom + Doom 2, Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville Complete Edition, and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Deluxe Edition, with all four of these products being discounted by 80%.

All 'Screaming Deals' From Nintendo eShop Halloween 2024 Sale

Next in line are the indie hit Spiritfarer, Doom Eternal, and Doom Eternal Deluxe Edition, which have been treated to 75% discounts as part of the ongoing promotion. Other notable offers include 70% off on the bundle containing the first two Little Nightmares titles and a 65% discount on all versions of Sonic Frontiers. Activision's bundle containing the Spyro Reignited Trilogy and Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy has also been discounted by 65% and is currently available for $26.24, thus offering nearly $50 in savings.

Nintendo's Halloween 2024 Sale Is Naturally Full Of Scary Games

While the Little Nightmares series of puzzle platformers is a great pick for some creepy gaming sessions, the newly launched sale includes even scarier Halloween-appropriate Switch games. E.g., those looking for maximum scares might want to take advantage of the 30% discount on Fatal Frame: Maiden of Blackwater, which brings the prices of its Digital and Digital Deluxe editions down to $27.99 and $38.49, respectively. The remaster of Koei Tecmo's 2014 survival horror game is still widely considered to be among the most unsettling experiences on Nintendo's hybrid console. World of Horror is another one of the currently discounted titles that's near-guaranteed to unnerve its players. Meanwhile, anyone interested in multiplayer or RPG horror experiences can currently save some money on Dead by Daylight and Darkest Dungeon 2.

Even some of the smaller discounts that launched as part of this Halloween 2024 eShop sale are worth checking out. E.g., the 10% price cut on the hit deck-building roguelike Balatro might not look like much, but it matches the game's historically low Switch price of $12.74.
