- Nintendo plans to release a Switch OLED holiday bundle with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, themed Joy-Cons, and a 3-month Nintendo Switch Online membership.

- The components of the bundle, including the Joy-Cons and dock, are similar to previous releases, but it still offers value for FGC enthusiasts and those interested in the Nintendo Switch.
Nintendo is looking to give the Switch OLED one of its last big sales pushes later this year with a new spin on one of its most popular bundles. With the holiday season rolling around, and the Switch successor seemingly all but confirmed, Winter 2023 may serve as a swan song for the Switch.
Rumors have surfaced that Nintendo plans to release a Switch OLED holiday bundle that will package the console with a digital copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe alongside a three-month subscription to Nintendo Switch Online, but that has yet to be announced at the time of this writing. While a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Switch OLED bundle may or may not exist, Nintendo has announced a different Swtich OLED bundle for the holiday shopping season in the meantime.
As noted in Nintendo's official announcement, the new Switch OLED bundle will be available at selected retailers starting on November 19, just ahead of Black Friday. The bundle is set to include a digital copy of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, themed Smash Bros. Joy-Cons, and 3 months of Nintendo Switch Online membership. Altogether, the bundle is slated to arrive at store shelves with an MSRP of $349.99.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Switch OLED Bundle
- $349.99 MSRP
- Launching on 11/19
- Nintendo Switch OLED console
- Super Smash Bros. Ultimate download code
- 3-month Nintendo Switch Online subscription
Although the upcoming bundle is being packaged as a brand-new Switch OLED bundle, it appears to share components with previous retail releases, including the original Super Smash Bros. Ultimate bundle. The Joy-Cons appear to be the same themed controllers packaged with the first Super Smash Bros. Ultimate bundle for the original Nintendo Switch, while the dock appears to be the same updated dock packaged with the initial retail release for the Switch OLED that theoretically grants the Switch OLED 4K output capabilities. For budding collectors, this means no Smash Bros.- themed dock.
Given that the Nintendo Switch is nearing the end of its life cycle, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Nintendo make an effort to unload its unsold components together in a bundle ahead of what's shaping up to be one of the Switch OLED's last major retail deals. Nevertheless, the bundle looks to be a fitting send-off for the game and console alike, considering how it's already been two years since Super Smash Bros. Ultimate ended its post-launch support.
For fighting game enthusiasts who have yet to acquire a Nintendo Switch, are interested in Nintendo Switch Online's selection of games, and are looking to familiarize themselves with one of the most storied franchises in fighting game history, this upcoming bundle looks to be a great value. It's three beloved products packaged together for the price of one, and for the right customer, it's killing three birds with one stone.
