One of the developers of No Man’s Sky has recently praised the upcoming PS5 Pro. Originally revealed a few weeks ago, the PS5 Pro has been quite a controversial topic since then, with some gamers enjoying the idea of a mid-gen upgrade, while others have been complaining about its high price and lack of novel features.

No Man’s Sky is one of the games already confirmed to be upgraded for the PS5 Pro’s launch. No Man’s Sky was originally released back in 2016, obtaining a mixed reception, mostly due to the disappointment of some gamers regarding the promises made by its creator Hello Games. Over the years, many patches helped No Man’s Sky to achieve its full potential, and now the title is set to receive one more graphical update with Sony’s upcoming console.

Now, Hello Games developer Martin Griffiths talked about No Man’s Sky coming to the PS5 Pro, saying that the upcoming console “absolutely rocks.” Griffits also revealed that they stood in a queue to order their PS5 Pro earlier this week. According to him, it’s greatly exciting to code on a new dev kit, port a game, and then finally get home and be able to see his work on the new console.

No Man's Sky Developer Martin Griffiths Praises PS5 Pro's Capabilities

While Griffiths seems very excited about the PS5 Pro, it’s fair to say that the overall reception of Sony’s mid-gen console remains divided. Several gamers have complained that the PS5 Pro is too expensive when compared to the base PS5, for example, especially when considering that it’s only an upgraded console, not a part of a whole new generation of gaming. The PS5 Pro will cost $700 in the US, and be even more expensive in other countries, costing as much as $919 in the UK.

On the other hand, the PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary Edition was immediately sold out, proving that there’s definitively some interest in the console. The model, which costs $999, is already being sold for as much as $10,000 on eBay due to how quickly it sold out.

While some gamers are excited about the PS5 Pro, others are already looking for rumors regarding the PS6. The PS6 is rumored to cost at least $600, and it could be coming in two models, offering a handheld variant. Also, some of the rumors point out that the next-gen console will be backward compatible with both the PS4 and PS5, which is excellent news for gamers who own games from previous generations.
