Despite No Man's Sky being a sci-fi game and Harry Potter being a fantasy series, a fan of the former has managed to create the latter's famous Hogwarts school, with impressive results. With Hogwarts Legacy launching soon, the Harry Potter brand continues to stay in the public limelight. While the canon films ended nearly 12 years ago, the industry is still keen to keep the antics of the titular wizard alive and well, and the fictional school of wizardry is a source of creativity for fans.

While No Man's Sk y is known for its enormous size, boasting around 18 quintillion planets, Hello Games' 2016 release is also noteworthy for its base-building mechanics. This means that, as well as exploring the galaxy and engaging in space battles or trading, players can also settle on one world and establish their own base. But not all fans are content with the traditional sci-fi look of a futuristic home, and there are examples of people recreating aspects from other popular franchises as well.

In a recent post, Reddit user DaedricPrincezz1 uploaded a couple of images from their No Man's Sky playthrough which depicts the iconic Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from the Harry Potter series. What's interesting about this build is that the creator even decided to add in a Quidditch pitch, recreated using the game's more sci-fi assets but still managing to make it look very similar to how it does in the films. When asked how long it took to make, DaedricPrincezz1 said they spent a couple of weeks on and off, plus some long weekends, to get it to this stage. It also features some of Hogwarts' interior, including the Great Hall and the moving staircase, but there aren't any images of these.

Over the years, there have been so many intriguing builds that fans of the space exploration title have been eager to share. Everything from a replica of the Starship Enterprise to a huge version of Andy's bedroom from Toy Story and even a recreation of the James Webb Telescope done in No Man's Sky have made their way to the public eye over the years.

Hello Games' release may have been controversial when it first dropped, but there's no denying that the developer has worked diligently to undo some of the major issues the game initially had. With Bethesda's Starfield being compared to No Man's Sky, and fans now loving the indie title, the game continues to redeem itself in the eyes of many.

No Man's Sky is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
