How to Get Paraffinium in No Man's Sky

Mine it on Lush Planets

Paraffinium appears on lush/topical planets in No Man's Sky. Head to space, aim at a planet and use the scanner to reveal the planet's details (you can also inspect planets in the Discoveries tab). Tropical Planet, Humid Planet, Viridescent Planet, and similar terms describe the planet type you need. You can also find Paraffinium in the list of resources available on that planet.

Land on the lush planet and use the Analysis Visor to find the Paraffinium deposit. Head to the deposit and mine it using the Terrain Manipulator on your Multi-Tool. One deposit, on average, nets around 200 Paraffinium.

Buy it From the Galactic Trade Terminal or Other Pilots

Much like other resources, you can buy Paraffinium from the Galactic Trade Terminals. The price varies depending on the system's economy, but you can expect to pay around 80-90 Units per unit of Paraffinium.

Paraffinium's (and any other resource's) availability at the Galactic Trade Terminal depends on your difficulty settings.

Alternatively, you can occasionally find other pilots at the space station selling Paraffinium and other resources, so make sure to check them while you're there.

Craft it in the Refiner
