For example, base building allows players to create structures for things like farming, storage, and more. A clever No Man's Sky player demonstrates an inventive construction method for creating customized bunk beds in an in-game base or starship.

On Reddit, a user known as Dazzling-Necessary55 shared a video of their incredible hanging garden made on their freighter. Using the game’s building mechanics, the player was able to place plants on the ceiling throughout the area. This allowed the Reddit user to create a much more lush environment, as there were more places to add plants. As seen in the walkthrough, the freighter garden included all sorts of vegetation bought using Quicksilver in No Man's Sky. While the quantity was impressive, the player showcased their design sense, tastefully placing the plants in places that made sense throughout the freighter.

No Man's Sky Player Shows Off Incredible Hanging Garden on Their Freighter

Since sharing the post on Reddit, many users approved of the build. The hanging garden has received hundreds of upvotes, with the community inquiring how Dazzling-Necessary55 made the spectacle. According to the creator, the inspiration came from the unused space on the ceiling of their freighter. Impressively, they revealed the entire hanging garden was made on Xbox without mods, making it easy for others to try something similar. To hang the plants from the ceiling, Dazzling-Necessary55 stacked them to the necessary height and flipped the top one. The others in the stack were then deleted to create the desired effect.

Despite being almost nine years old, No Man’s Sky continues to draw players back thanks to its frequent updates. The game regularly has thousands of concurrent players on platforms like Steam, and this community often makes noteworthy discoveries and shows off unique bases. For example, a player showcased another ambitious build, creating a city on their No Man’s Sky freighter.

It will be interesting to see what creative players come up with next in the game. Hello Games released the Relics Update for No Man's Sky in March, adding even more content for players to check out. In addition, the developer continues to release patches to squash bugs, making it now a potentially good time to jump back into the game.
