Developer Hello Games has unveiled the official patch notes for No Man’s Sky’s Update 6.04. This new No Man’s Sky update addresses some minor issues that are still impacting the space exploration game, improving the overall experience for players.

No Man's Sky Next Update

No Man’s Sky was a fairly controversial game when it was first released in 2016. At the time, the title suffered massive backlash for promising too much and underdelivering, but developer Hello Games has worked hard over the last decade to put out more exciting content for the now beloved title. After the Voyagers update was released on August 27, No Man’s Sky exploded in popularity once again, peaking at over 110,000 simultaneous players on Steam.

With Patch 6.04, the developers of No Man’s Sky have fixed around a dozen frustrating issues impacting players. Some of these fixes include correcting a bug that caused interaction labels to show the wrong spaceship name after it had been changed, one that made the player’s corvette fly off when they disembarked, issues causing unintended collisions, and more. Beyond that, Hello Games also improved the accessibility of the freighter bridge teleporter and added a few enhancements to lighting.

No Man's Sky Releases New Update for September 2025

When compared to Patch 6.03, which became available to No Man’s Sky players via an experimental branch update last week, the newest update is quite small. The previous patch focused on fixing dozens of issues, but fortunately, it seems like most of the major problems have already been corrected by now.

No Man's Sky Voyagers update

As expected, most of these fixes are related to new features introduced in No Man’s Sky’s Voyagers update. Voyagers added Corvette-class ships, skydiving, spacewalking, and several other changes to the game, and has been considered an excellent addition by most of the fanbase. Following its release, subsequent hotfixes were focused on improving aspects of the new content and fixing glitches related to the fresh content.

With these recent patches, 2025 is shaping up to be an excellent year to play No Man’s Sky for both gamers who have never tried the popular space exploration game or those who played years ago and want to come back. Not only does No Man’s Sky have more players than ever, which is great for multiplayer, but it also has tons of free expansions. The most recent Voyagers and World 2 updates greatly improved the game’s biomes and space travel, and the title continues to be one of the finest offerings in the genre.
