A lot of developers will put out a roadmap for a game before it even releases to show players what they can expect for the future development of the project, and this can be a great way to show that the title is worth investing in early to help support it. No Rest for the Wicked is one such game that is still in its early access stage — which means a lot of planned additions are on the horizon for the project.

What Is Planned For No Rest For The Wicked

No Rest For The Wicked Roadmap

While the roadmap might appear small and short, it is worth noting that we are not fully aware of just how much each update will expand on the game’s current scope. There are three main elements listed following the release of early access:

  • Multiplayer
  • The Breach
  • Further Updates

Is No Rest For The Wicked Multiplayer

No Rest For The Wicked Multiplayer

No, at least not yet. However, this is the primary focus listed for the game's first major update. Multiplayer can be a bit vague, and some players might be wondering if it means they can play side-by-side through the entirety of the game’s story like some of the best co-op games of all time. Luckily, eager fans can get a glimpse at the developer’s intention by heading over to the game’s Steam page.

PULL The 1.0 version of No Rest for the Wicked will be a significantly expanded version of the initial Early Access release. This version will take into account player feedback throughout its time in development and may be different from what we already have planned.

The page goes on to mention both 4-player co-op and a PVP mode as multiplayer options. Just like with Elden Ring’s brutal soulslike PvP experience, players that feel they have honed their skills and found some great gear will be eager to test their mettle against other players to show just how fearsome they have become in the game. Others can look forward to joining forces with three other players and collaborating for mutually achieved victory.

Will There Be DLC For No Rest For The Wicked

No Rest For The Wicked New Regions

No Rest for the Wicked will be getting more content, but this is not technically a DLC. It is part of the initial game that will be added at a later date as it transitions from its Early Access to a full release. This content is specifically highlighted for “Update 2” on the roadmap.

In the Official Game Overview video, they state their second major content update will be new regions, enemies, narrative, and more. So players can expect to get so much more bang for their buck as the game continues to release these major updates. Looking again at the game's Steam page, it lists the following as features players can expect to see:

  • Expanded story content and chapters
  • Additional map regions
  • Farming
  • More weapons, armor, rare items, and gear
  • New enemies and bosses
  • Additional Crucible Floors, Bounties, and Challenges

Overall, this game is going to be a real treat for those who have already finished everything there is to do currently, and players can rest easy knowing they are in good hands with the dedicated developers of Moon Studio working hard to give players an unforgettable title.

Will There Be Crossplay For No Rest For The Wicked

No Rest For The Wicked Roadmap-1

No Rest for the Wicked will be released across a wide range of platforms for its full release, including PlayStation 5, GeForce Now, Xbox Series X and Series S, and Microsoft Windows. However, there is not much information about any plans to allow all these platforms to interact with one another. The game is still in its Early Access build and available on Steam, and such a feature is not outlined anywhere on the roadmap. The presence of any cross-play functionality will become apparent later in the game's life cycle.
