Weird Oblivion Remastered Glitch Turns Player into a Giant

A bewildered Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered player shares a glitch that led to their player becoming a giant, but thankfully, there's a fix.

In a recent post on Reddit, ProfessionalPSD claimed to have found an alchemy glitch that could prove to be detrimental to anyone who runs into it. ProfessionalPSD stated that they reached Alchemy level 100 in The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered, which gave them the ability to craft Fatigue Potions with a single ingredient. They said that they used a Pumpkin to create one of the potions, which resulted in it weighing five pounds. Unfortunately, when they crafted more Fatigue Potions with different ingredients, every potion continued to weigh five pounds a piece. While this might seem like a small issue at first, many players rely on potions while exploring the world and fighting enemies. Characters also have a limited amount of weight they can carry before they're considered over-encumbered. Having a single Fatigue Potion weighing five pounds could negatively impact anyone's playthrough.

The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered Contains a Problematic Alchemy Glitch

Fatigue can be a major issue in The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered, which is why the player was trying to stock up on the valuable potions. Unfortunately, ProfessionalPSD was unable to find a way to correct the issue and had to go back to a previous save file. While they only lost about an hour of gameplay, they were quick to warn others of the issue. A few people offered alternative solutions, with one person claiming that renaming the potion corrects the glitch for some reason. Many players were amused by the possible fix and fondly reminisced about glitches they'd encountered with strange solutions.

A recent rumor from a Microsoft insider suggested that The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered could be coming to Nintendo Switch 2 at some point in the future, which has excited a large portion of the community. As with many long RPGs, players were happy to hear that they might have the option to take it on the go. However, there has been no official announcement from Xbox or Bethesda. With a whole world to discover and plenty of content to enjoy, many fans seem to be having a good time with The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered.
