The
Cure Disease Potion is one of the most critical consumables to carry around while exploring the lands of Cyrodiil and the Shivering Isles. It can cure players from the most dangerous diseases that can be contracted by fighting enemies, and even some of the most annoying after-effects (like Vampirism) can be prevented by using them on time.
Oblivion Remastered - How to Increase Alchemy Skill
The key to making stronger potions in Oblivion Remastered is to improve your Alchemy skill.
So, players with an affinity for Alchemy (and even those who haven't picked a class with Alchemy as a Major Skill) must understand how to craft this potion in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered. First, let's start with learning how to use Alchemy to create the basic Cure Disease Potion.
How To Craft Cure Disease Potion In Oblivion Remastered
To craft a Cure Disease Potion, players need to have at least a Mortar & Pestle, then select it from their inventories. This will open the Alchemy crafting interface and allow them to browse ingredients. Novice Alchemists can already create Cure Disease potions, so the next step would be to put two ingredients that have the 'Cure Disease' properties on them. After that, players need to hit 'Brew' on the bottom of the Alchemy interface.
The most common recipe mixes Mandrake and Elf Cup Cap, since these are Novice Grade Ingredients that can be found quite early, and they're easily distinguishable from other plants.
Cure Disease Potion only cures the first stage of Porphyric Hemophilia (Vampirism) in Oblivion Remastered. The potion needs to be used right after contracting the disease, or within the next 71 in-game time hours, and prior to sleeping. If not, players will enter Stage 2 and will be unable to cure using normal means.

- Clannfear Claws: Are usually obtained from Clannfear Daedra (except Clannfear Runts), Alchemist suppliers, chests, and other containers.
- Mandrake Root: Harvested from star-shaped plants with blue flowers near Chorrol, the Black Road, Colovian Highlands, or purchased from alchemy shops.
- Elf Cup Cap: Red round mushrooms growing in the easternmost zones of Cyrodiil, near Kvatch and Skingrad.
- Withering Moon: Harvested from blue glowing fungus in caves located in the Dementia region in the Shivering Isles.
- Hunger Tongue: Collected from Hungers in the Shivering Isles.
- Red Kelp Gas Bladder: Harvested from the kelp plant Mania region of the Shivering Isles.
- Shepherd's Pie: Purchased from Tavern Keeps, and Food Stalls (also found in Bandit or Marauder lairs).
It is important to mention that these ingredients can be swapped between them to create the same results. Still, their availability might vary depending on the region the players are in. Some, like the Shepherd's Pie, are bought at taverns, since they're 'Food Ingredients,' while some, like Hunger Tongue, can only be found in the Shivering Isles. Try to browse around Alchemy shops in cities for more ingredients from time to time, and remember that their supply renews every 3 in-game days.

So, remember to always carry a good supply of Cure Disease Potions to prevent having some of the worst debuffs in the game. Players can also use Resist Disease Potions to protect themselves from contracting the effects altogether. Sadly, though useful, this buff is highly ineffective in the long run, since it lasts for only a short amount of time, and players never know when they are going to be bitten by a wolf, a rat, a vampire, or any other mangy animal in Oblivion Remastered.
