Oblivion Remastered Player Count is Being Outdone by 14 Year Old Bethesda Game
The player count for The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered is being outdone by a Bethesda game that was first released 14 years ago.
On Reddit, user Psycho-FangSenpai shared their discovery that there's a simple way to get some extra points in Blade and Block skill in Oblivion Remastered. In a brief video, their character stands stock-still as two Blades have a practice fight. After watching them spar for a while, a message pops up informing the player that due to watching the Blades battle, they've gained two points in both Blade and Block skill. These two Blades members, Fortis and Pelagius, can be found at the Cloud Ruler Temple, for those who want to get some extra skill points.
Players who like to play Oblivion Remastered with hand-to-hand combat, or just want a well-rounded skill set, can also gain some skill points of their own. Players will need to visit The Arena in Oblivion Remastered. Once there, one simply needs to locate a pair of sparring NPCs named Branwen and Saliith. By watching them for a while, players will gain five points in Hand to Hand combat.
Oblivion Remastered Players Share Additional Tips
Numerous fans seem to have overlooked this particular detail, and are happy to discover that they can earn a couple of extra points. Players have recommended that fans watch the sparring once they reach expert level, as skill points become more difficult to gain the higher a player's skill is. However, fans should be aware that there's a limit for gaining skill from watching a fight, with 90 being the skill cap for both the Arena fighters and the Blades.
While there's no wrong way to play Oblivion Remastered, players are actively sharing advice with one another with some helpful tips. For example, one player recently showed a great place to stash items in Oblivion Remastered, while others have highlighted changes made to the way Sneaking works over the original game, or an odd horse that can be found in the remaster that doesn't exist in the first version. Though a lot of Oblivion Remastered's secrets are already known courtesy of fans having fully explored the original version from top to bottom, there are still some details that can get overlooked.
