Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered offers a bunch of goodies in its deluxe edition, including two new armor and weapons sets. One of those gear sets is the demon-themed Cataclysm, which can be obtained through the Burning Trail quest that also comes in the deluxe package. Players will need to do a bit of exploration and infiltrate a cult to finally be able to use the Cataclysm armor and weapon sets. So, here's how these Oblivion Remastered deluxe edition items.
Best Graphics Settings For Oblivion Remastered PC
Oblivion Remastered has many graphical options that players can tweak to increase their performance and solve low FPS issues on PC.
How to Start the Burning Trail Quest for Cataclysm Armor & Weapons in Oblivion Remastered
Players can start the Burning Trail quest by entering the Imperial City's Talos Plaza District in Oblivion Remastered. There are a couple of barrels present under the dragon statue, and one of the barrels has a Mythic Dawn Pamphlet attached to it.
Grab the Mythic Dawn Pamphlet 1, and you'll add the Burning Trail quest to the log. Since you've already found one, now you need to locate the other three Mythic Dawn Pamphlets before unlocking the Cataclysm armor and weapons that come in the Oblivion Remastered deluxe edition.
Collect the Other Three Mythic Dawn Pamphlets
The next pamphlet can be found at Hircine's Shrine, south of the Imperial City. There's a statue of a man and a wolf, with the clue stating to follow the wolf's gaze. There's a tree directly opposite the statue that players can look behind to find Mythic Dawn Pamphlet 2.
The third note can be found near the Horned Fiend's shrine, called Molag Bal's Shrine, located west of the Imperial City. According to the clue, players need to follow the Light of Dawn to find the next note. There's a boulder opposite the statue that players need to cross over to find a large tree. Look behind the three to grab the Mythic Dawn Pamphlet 3.
The location of the fourth Mythic Dawn Pamphlet isn't stated explicitly, as the clue states the note's location is in a decayed city where the Larsius river touches the bay. You'll need to head to Castle Bravil, located further south of the Imperial City, next to the Larsius River. After entering the castle grounds, head to the center to spot the Bravil's Lucky Old Lady statue.
Players will need to look at the base of the statue to find the Mythic Dawn Pamphlet 4, which mentions that players will need to find a Shy Dunmer, who is familiar with fire. So, you'll need to find the person in the nearest Inn.
Where to Find Shy Dunmer in Burning Trail Quest
If you're having trouble finding the Inn to locate Shy Dunmer in the Burning Trail quest in Oblivion Remastered, take a look inside Lonely Suitor Lodge. It's right across the bridge towards the right. After entering, speak to the attendant Bogrum Gro-Galash, who'll indicate that the Shy Dunmer is Ranaline.
Although Ranaline will be standing right next to the entrance of the lodge, she can be found wandering around the area at times. Speak to her, and players may have to use Speechcraft to build trust with her. Once the trust is built, she'll inform players about a gathering happening in the Mingo Cave, and players will have to don the cult robes to attend it.
Infiltrate the Cult in Mingo Cave
Reach the Mingo Cave, and if you're wearing the robes, enemies inside won't attack you. Keep heading deeper into the cave until you find Mehrunes' Harbinger. She'll ask you to light the pyre under the prisoner to complete the ritual, so players will have a choice here to either commit murder or take off the robes and attack cult members.
Whatever decision you make, Mehrunes will be impressed by your actions and will grant a special spell that will allow players to summon her at will. If players decide to attack the cult members, they'll have to fight their way out of the Mingo Cave.
Summon Mehrunes' Harbinger to Get Deluxe Edition Cataclysm Armor & Weapons in Oblivion Remastered
Once outside, equip the Summon Mehrunes' Harbinger spell and use it. Mehrunes' Harbinger will immediately arrive next to the players and ask them what kind of equipment they want. Players who want all the weapons from the Deluxe Edition can simply head into all the categories of weapons and select the "All of Them" dialog option.
However, this can make your character over-encumbered, so it's best to only get the weapons that fit your playstyle, as you can summon her to get other weapons at any time. Now you'll have the following weapons as part of the Oblivion Remastered deluxe edition Cataclysm set.
