One of the improvements that the community seems to like the most is how awesome the iconic Glass Armor set looks. In a post shared by Adaris187 on social media, for example, the gamer praised how the armor no longer looks “bright neon green,” resembling real-life crystal, and scored over 14,000 upvotes from the community. This is a testament to how the new armor looks better than the original Glass Armor in 2006’s Oblivion, where it did not have a nearly realistic look. In the post’s comments, gamers also complimented other armor sets, highlighting Mithril pieces as among the best ones, too.

While Oblivion Remastered players are pretty much in love with some new features, it’s fair to say that some are missing others. For example, gamers have recently complained about Oblivion Remastered lacking item subcategories in the menu, which would make it easier to find useful items such as potions or repair hammers.

Fortunately, Bethesda is seeking player feedback about Oblivion Remastered via a dedicated Discord channel. So it’s possible that the publisher Bethesda and developer Virtuos will continue to tweak the experience to the community’s taste, adding more quality-of-life elements to the popular remaster.

In any case, gamers who don’t want to wait for official changes to some of the open-world game’s aspects can already try out mods, at least on PC. Oblivion Remastered does not have official mod support, making it harder to implement these changes in the console version. Despite this roadblock, however, Oblivion Remastered already has over 200 mods just a few days after the original release. Some of the most popular projects in the list include fixes to the game’s performance, options to add difficulty sliders, and one that changes lighting in Oblivion Remastered, making the title seem brighter, like the original 2006 version.
