A hilarious Oblivion Remastered bug has seen an NPC hold a torch in perhaps the most unfortunate way possible. While this isn't a big Oblivion Remastered issue, it's undoubtedly good for giving fans a chuckle.

Every Bethesda game has a plethora of bugs - it's pretty much tradition at this point. Oblivion Remastered has proven to be no exception, even staying faithful to the original game by leaving some of the previously known glitches in the remaster. While some of these issues can be frustrating, there are an equal number of funny Oblivion Remastered glitches, too, which can help create unique experiences of their own.

Why Oblivion Remastered Players Are Flocking Back to Skyrim

Oblivion Remastered has been losing players for a little while now, and it seems that they are going back to the evergreen Skyrim.

Redditor Sirspice123 shared an image of their unique Oblivion Remastered glitch, which occurred after opening their inventory. While holding a torch, the player appears to be using the animation to hold a staff. This makes it look as though their character is holding the torch by the flame, giving them hot hands, to say the least. They don't take any fire damage, but in-universe, it's easy to imagine that this is quite an uncomfortable situation for Sirspice123's Hero of Kvatch.

Oblivion Remastered NPC Holds Torch Like a Staff, Burns Hand in the Process

One user did come up with an interesting way to make this glitch lore-friendly, given the fact that Sirspice123's character appears to be using an Oblivion Remastered Magic build. They described the glitch as a "show of dominance," claiming that "Fire is nothing to a mage." Give this character some fire resistance potions, and it would certainly be a way to show their enemies that they mean business.

Although Oblivion Remastered continues to get new updates from Bethesda and Virtuos, there will definitely be some bugs that players don't want to see fixed. These are obviously not the game-breaking ones, but the funny ones that help to create interesting and enjoyable moments of their own. There's a certain value to letting these types of issues slip through the net, but it remains to be seen how Bethesda and Virtuos approach this kind of thing.
