Horses are important for players who don't want to rely on fast travel in Oblivion Remastered, and instead prefer riding from one location to another. During your travels, you'll often encounter enemies who'll not just attack you, but your mount as well. How to Equip Horse Armor on Your Mount in Oblivion Remastered

Players can get a free armored horse once they exit the sewer tutorial area and into the open world in Oblivion Remastered. However, if they want to outfit their newly purchased horse with armor, they'll need to visit Snak gra-Bura again at the Chestnut Handy Stables, west of the Imperial City.

After you bring the horse into the stable, go inside the stable and ask the proprietor to outfit the horse with armor. Here's all the horse armor available in Oblivion Remastered.

Outfitting your mount with horse armor is crucial, considering they fight back whenever you're attacked in the open. Horse armor increases their base HP, making them even more resilient in fights and less likely to die in battle.

As discussed before, players who purchased the deluxe edition of Oblivion Remastered get two additional horse armor sets. Even though these armor sets look amazing, they're only for aesthetics and don't provide any benefit during gameplay.

To unlock the deluxe edition horse armor sets, players will need to do two new quests added to the remaster.
