  • Mod offers Arrest Warrants, Outlaw Bounties, new currency, Corruption system, and more.

A recent Oblivion Remastered mod has turned the Imperial Legion into a new joinable faction, offering over 100 quests for players to complete. The mod lets Oblivion Remastered players see the Imperial Legion in a new light, with many interesting features to experience.

When the game first launched, Bethesda claimed that Oblivion Remastered doesn't officially support mods. Despite this, the talented modding community was never going to let that stop them from creating tons of unique mods to improve the game, as has always been the case with Bethesda titles over the years. The creativity, just six weeks since its release, has been incredible to see. There was even one Oblivion Remastered mod that allowed players to leave Dark Souls-style messages for others to find around Cyrodiil, adding an online aspect to the single-player game.

A new Oblivion Remastered mod named "Imperial Legion - Infinitum" is now available from user ColdTyrant on Nexus Mods. It transforms the Imperial Legion into a joinable faction, including the Imperial Watch and Imperial Forestry, with over 100 new random, repeatable radiant quests to enjoy. There are new Arrest Warrants, Outlaw Bounties, and a currency named Writs of Merit. There's even a Corruption system, which goes hand-in-hand with the ability to extract fines from citizens across Cyrodiil.

New Oblivion Remastered Mod Lets You Join the Imperial Legion

That's not to mention the new Oblivion Remastered armor and weapon sets that have been added, as well as several NPCs, including a merchant and skill trainer. It's an absurdly detailed mod, one that could definitely add tons of hours to any new Oblivion Remastered playthrough. The main known issue at the moment is that the game doesn't allow for custom voice files, which won't be fixed until Oblivion Remastered modding makes a breakthrough in this regard. However, ColdTyrant asserts that despite this, "mod functionality is not impacted."

Bethesda recently shared the patch notes for Oblivion Remastered's 1.1 update, which is set to release on June 11. The upcoming update will largely be focused on fixing existing issues rather than adding any new content, which is to be expected from the remaster, which is already a complete product. Hopefully, this is a sign of things to come, with more updates on the way to continue putting the finishing touches on Oblivion Remastered.
