Since its sudden release, some players have been busy sharing their experiences with the game on social media. One player recently shared a video of them trying to stealth around after entering an Oblivion Gate in The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered. To their surprise, even though there weren't any NPCs in sight, the stealth indicator showed a full eye. This meant their character had been spotted. When the player spun around, they saw a Skingrad Guard running toward them. Apparently, the dedicated guard followed the player for quite a ways and through an Oblivion Gate to make an arrest. Of course, the player decided to resist arrest and got into a fight with the guard. The commotion attracted nearby enemies, which turned the whole encounter into a chaotic surprise.

The video first shows a player delicately using a lockpick to set each pin in the correct position. The gameplay footage was mixed with reactions of relief from pop culture characters. The clip then cuts to several weeks later, where the player simply spams a lockpick until the lock is forced open, giving them the ability to claim whatever loot was inside.

One person in the comments pointed out that the player could simply use the Skeleton Key in The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered, which is an unbreakable lockpick that allows gamers to utilize the auto function without the risk of losing resources. Gom2k and several other people were surprised to learn that such a thing existed within the game, as they hadn't found it yet for themselves.

The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered has been a big success for Bethesda, as one industry analyst pointed out that the game sold more copies in the month of April than the original did in its first 15 months of release. One leaker also claimed that a Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game is currently in development, though there has been no official word about whether that's true.
