Where to Buy Soul Trap Spell

Oblivion Remastered: Alberic Little

Most spells in Oblivion Remastered can be purchased from merchants around the world. But in the case of the Soul Trap spell, things are a little more complicated. This is a special spell that is not sold by just anyone. To purchase and learn the Soul Trap spell in Oblivion Remastered, you need to visit one of the Magic Guilds.

Luckily, any guild will do. Most cities have one. For example, in Chorrol, you just need to visit the guild and find Alberic Little there. He sells many different spells, including Soul Trap. You will have to pay 360 Gold for it.

How to Use the Soul Trap Spell

Soul Trap Spell in Oblivion Remastered

Soul Trap is a Mysticism spell in Oblivion Remastered, and you need to have at least the Apprentice rank of this school. By using Soul Trap on a dying target, you can transfer their soul into Soul Gems to charge them. But this requires some skill. After using the Soul Trap spell, you will have about 20 seconds to kill the target and get their soul. If you fail to do so before the timer expires, your Soul Gems will remain empty.

We strongly do not recommend you cast Soul Trap at the beginning of the battle unless the enemies are much weaker than you. Otherwise, it is better to do it when your enemy is close to dying. In this case, you are guaranteed to transfer the soul to Gems. Depending on your Mysticism rank, the effect and duration of the cast will differ.
