7 Merlin Isle Frontier
Early Game Barreled Premium Fuel
The Merlin Isle Frontier is a PvP zone right next to the area where beginners to Once Human spawn. This makes the Merlin Isle Frontier the only place that a new player has a chance to loot Barreled Premium Fuel until much later in the game.

Finding the most efficient places to harvest rare and frequently-used materials is critical in Once Human.
Barreled Premium Fuel is needed to run vehicles, and even the humble motorcycle will use a stack of this resource within a few minutes. New players that want to be able to run their vehicles without worrying about running out of fuel, will need to loot a player-owned oil derrick within the Merlin Isle Frontier PvP zone.
6 Deadsville
Initial Quest Hub
All new players, whether enjoying a PvE experience on a PvE server, or looking for PvP combat on a PvP server, will need to complete the storyline to unlock specific game features. Deadsville is the first settlement that new players will want to unlock because of this.
In Deadsville, a player will meet certain characters such as Lowe, who will become the backbone of the story arc until the last missions. This is also the first place that a player can interact with NPC shops, and also have access to a mailbox.
5 Meyer’s Market
First Access To Tin
Once a new player has completed all of the quests in and around Deadsville, and this includes completing all of the POI to 100%, they will likely need to find some tin to proceed with unlocking various crafting trees. The best way to find tin for the first time, is to follow the storyline.
Eventually, the story missions will lead the player to the Meyer’s Market settlement. It is in this map zone and the surrounding areas that the player will have access to tin for the first time. Meaning that they can now make bronze tools, and use crafting recipes that call for tin or bronze.
4 Greywater Camp
First Access To Iron
Before a player can move on to the more dangerous areas of the open-world map, they will need to have good access to decent ammo. For most people, this means having the ability to produce steel ammo in the thousands. Steel ammo is the sweet spot between the cost of crafting, and overall damage. The crafting system in Once Human calls for rare materials to craft better ammo than steel.
Once again, following the story missions is the best way to find iron for the first time. As at an appropriate stage, the player will be sent to Greywater Camp. The regions to the west of Greywater Camp all have plenty of iron.
3 Tall Grass Inn
First Access To Aluminum
Readers should see a pattern developing here. New players in Once Human follow a resource-driven progression, with new, more dangerous zones having higher-tier materials. In order to craft tier 4 weapons and armor, the player needs access to aluminum.

All players in Once Human have to farm loot now and then, to keep up with crafting requirements and gear progression.
Tall Grass Inn is a mid-game quest hub, and all of the zones around this settlement have aluminum. Although there is more in the zones to the west. There are also a number of 
Silver Ore nodes around this area, which can be worth tracking down to sell for energy links.
2 Blackfell
First Access To Tungsten
The settlement of Blackfell is an important one. Many missions begin and start here, and the player will spend more time in this settlement than all of the others combined. Therefore, opening up this part of the map as soon as possible simply makes sense.
Blackwell and the regions around it, have tungsten widely available to players who have access to the right level tools. However, the settlement lies within the center of a large polluted POI, so this is not a region that lower-level players want to explore until they can defend themselves.
1 Blackheart Region
All Resources Available
Currently, Blackheart is the most northern region of the open-world map in Once Human. However, this will likely change in the future as the developers extend the game. But right now, this region is a one-stop shop for all of the end-game resources.
Once Human: Beginner Mistakes To Avoid
Once Human is a complex game with a steep learning curve, so make sure you don't make these simple mistakes.
This area has it all. Gold, silver, tungsten, aluminum, iron, tin, and copper are all available ores in this region. However, the higher-end ores are more prolific. The region has the most PvP zones in the game, which makes it a good place to source Barreled Premium Fuel by sneaking into PvP zones and looting it from oil derricks that are under the control of a player hive.
