Building Your Base

Before you start, you must collect basic resources like Logs and Gravel to build a strong and functioning base in Once Human. These are your fundamental building materials. To make your base, follow the steps given below:

Hit the B key to open the Build menu. This menu shows your Building Rating and the item limit. Knowing these details helps you stay within the game's building limits.

Select and Place Structures

Right-click on the build menu to view various items like foundations, stairs, crafting tables, and lights. Begin with placing foundations as they are necessary for most structures.

Expand and Upgrade

As you progress in Once Human, you can unlock more powerful facilities and items by spending Meme Points. If you want a stronger base, you must focus more on Logistics and Building tabs. This will not only strengthen your foundations and provide more furniture but also grant you access to crucial resources like electricity.

Granting Building Permissions

After establishing your base, having friends to help with the building can also greatly improve the experience.

Here’s how:

Access the Social Tab: Select the Escape key to open your Main Menu. Go to the Social tab to start the process.
Create a Hive: In the Social menu, navigate to the Hive tab. Your hive is your clan for you and your friends. Simply walk up to any of your in-game friends and choose Invite to Hive.
Manage Permissions: After adding your friends to the hive, their names will appear in the list located in the Hive Tab. Click on a friend's name and select Friends Permissions. You may assign different permissions, including the use of facilities, free build mode, and storage access, to name a few.

Assign the rights for each friend appropriately. For the fellows you trust, enable all permissions to make collaboration easier.
