The Digby Boy is one of the most useful deviants in Once Human. They're useless in a fight, but they will save you tons of time by automatically collecting all sorts of ore for you, including ones that aren't in the vicinity of your base.

Getting a small crew of Digby Boys to happily dig ores while you're away is great for stockpiling resources. You'll never have to mine again once you get three of these little guys in your base. They'll stay with you even if you move your territory in Once Human, making them useful everywhere you go. Here's where to find these deviants.

How To Get The Digby Boy In Once Human

Compared to other deviants, Digby Boys are a bit more unique. You don't capture them like you do others. Instead, you have a chance of getting The Digby Boy as you mine Silver Ore. While we currently don't have the exact numbers, the odds of getting a Digby Boy are pretty decent. Simply mine an ore node until there's nothing left to collect. There's also a chance of getting a Digby Boy by mining Tin, but the drop rates here are much lower compared to mining Silver.

Where To Find Silver Ore

Silver Ore is pretty rare compared to other Once Human minerals like Iron, and it looks a lot like Tin Ore too, making nodes of Silver Ore harder to identify at a glance. You can find them randomly in mineral patches all over the world. The area surrounding Meyer's Market has a pretty good chance of containing a few nodes of silver ore. If there are none, change worlds at the teleporter tower and try again.

Digby Boy Quest

At some point after completing quests in Deadsville, Lowe (the guy with the glasses sitting by a table) will offer a quest called Deviation Expert, where he'll ask you to find a Digby Boy in Throughville. You can find it sitting on the ledge of one of the buildings, marked by a quest marker. Bring 30 Copper Ore to the Digby Boy, and it'll turn into a bubble — interact with the bubble to capture The Digby Boy, then return to Lowe in Deadsville.

How To Use The Digby Boy

Once you've caught a Digby Boy, go back to your base and build a vacant Isolated Securement Unit. Interact with the Securement Unit, then deposit the Digby Boy in it. A general tip for beginners: you should build as many Securement Units in your home as possible and store your deviants in them.

The Digby Boy will automatically gather assorted minerals for as long as it has any Deviant Power remaining. Once it tires itself out, it'll quietly recharge itself in its containment unit until it reaches a specific Deviant Power level. You can set this level by clicking on the small gear icon on the right side of the screen when inspecting the deviant's containment unit.

Digby Boys will continue working even if you're offline. You can pick up all the ores it collected by inspecting its containment unit and clicking the Claim All button. You might want to place an ore chest next to your Digby Boys, as you'll likely get overencumbered if you try picking up all the ores they've collected.
